He thought she hated him. Maybe it was the way she glared at him at times, or the way she never really talk to him. Or when he tried to, she walked away.

So now as he gave Y/n a ride to her house, since her car broke down and it was raining, that question was just waiting to cone out.

"Thanks for the ride, I'll make it up to you." And she just get out of the car heading to the home she had rented.

Chris, being the stubborn and persistent person he is, wouldn't drop this until he found out the truth. So he got out of the car, the rain starting to soak him, but he ran to her and caught her arm before she got to the front porch, making her turn around and not letting her go.

"What I want is for you to answer my question... Please, I promise I'll leave you alone, but please, I need to know how to fix this." He pleaded, his eyes searching hers, for something, anything.

"Chris... I..." No, she wouldn't say it, it would ruin everything... right? "I don't hate you. Look, I see the way you look at me, the way you treat me, and there are enough rumors going around on set. Especially after that scene."

"What scene?"

"You know what I'm talking about."

"You know what yeah I do know. I know that when our lips met, it sent shivers down my spine. I know that when we kissed there where butterflies in my stomach going crazy. I know that my heart almost stopped. But another thing I know for a fact... is you felt it too."

And so he was fast to lean in and kiss her, but she was faster and pushed him away, slapping him in the process.

"Y/n-" Chris tried to go after her, but it was no use, she locked herself in.

Even after that, Chris wasn't giving up. He stayed outside, it was pouring, yet she didn't give a damn. No matter what he needed to talk to her, at least to apologize.

So he sat there, in her front porch for about two hours determined as ever, because he was a hopeless romantic and he just wouldn't give up. It's dangerous at times, he knows yes, being a hopeless romantic can lead him to do the stupidest of things.

He felt like he was in a movie, something too cliche to even be real, yet it was. His feelings are real, everything he's doing is real, because he loves her.

And people always say, how you know when it's 'The One.' They always describe it in their own way, and for everyone is different. For some it's at the first sight, others it takes time, and for him... well it was a rollercoaster.

One that lead him to be sitting like a lost puppy in front of the porch of the woman he fell in love with, soaking wet, praying for some miracle.

Now for Y/n, well she was trying to forget it, she was trying to push these feelings away for as long as she could muster. Yet it didn't stop her from crying, because now she knew she completely pushed him away, at least that's what she thought.

She thought that after she went inside that he left for good. And that gave her comfort, yet it made her heart ache like never before. But even if she knew he was the one, she had to do it, to push him away. That way he could be happier with someone who could give him the love she can't.

So she wiped her tears away, getting her book to go outside and read for a bit since the rain had stopped. But as soon as she stepped outside she gasped at the sight in front of her. Which consisted of a soaked Chris looking up at her, hope in his eyes for once that day.

"Oh Chris..." She didn't say anything else, just helped him stand up and guided him into the rental home and headed straight for the bathroom.

Before he started to take his clothes off, she handed him a towel and some clothes he could wear. Clothes that her brother had left when he came to visit.

During the time Chris was taking a shower, she made some hot chocolate so he could warm up, and she also got a blanket he could cover himself with. When he got out he headed to the living where she was waiting for him with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate, she had one of her own in her other hand. He sat down on the far side of the couch, giving her space.

"Y/n I'm-"

"Sorry? Don't, I'm the one that should apologize, I'm sorry I slapped you, and ignored you all this time, and left you outside to get sick."

"That's fine-"

"No Chris it's not fine so don't try to convince yourself it is, when we both know it isn't." She put her mug down, ready for what she was about to say.

"Because you are right, I do love you. I do feel something strong for you, I would do anything for you Christopher. And that's what scares me, I would cross oceans if you asked, I'm scared of falling too hard, but I already did. I just don't want to get hurt again, and I don't want to in any way hurt you. I've been fighting it, ever since I met you I've been in a constant battle trying not to fall for you, yet to no avail."

"You won't, I won't." He put his mug down as well and scooted closer to her. "Please, you don't have to keep fighting it. All I want, is to be able to love you, and show you everyday, no matter what I will be here Y/n. I'm in this for the long run."

She turned to him now, looking him in the eyes, seeing his sincerity. She couldn't help it anymore, she loves this man, and from the looks of it he loves her as well.

So she thought, 'You know what fuck it' and she she connected their lips.

At first it was gentle, it was sweet, it felt like a dream. As they kissed they both floated on cloud 9,  but as the kept on making out, it became urgent. They didn't care about getting some air, that was the least important thing at the mount, ask they want, and need right now, is each other.

Soon Chris has his hand on the small on her back, laying her down cautiously and slowly, enjoying each kiss like it would be their last. To this Y/n wraps her legs around his waist, clinging to him like a koala yet soon they both parted the kiss.

Wise smiles on their faces as their foreheads touched, catching their breath.

"Y/n L/n, will you be my girlfriend?"

"I would love to. But a date first no?"

"Of course." He smiled as he pecked her lips again.

Chris kept his promise. To never hurt her, and yes there were complications at times in their relationship, but they overcame those hardships. Living a happy ever after together, for years to come.
