chapter 10:piece by piece

Alpha Marcuses P.O.V.

I sat contemplating my crap life when a very enthusiastic Angela burst into my office without any warning, I glared at her slipping my wallet back into my pocket, she smiled her famous cunning smile.

"Alpha Marcus the prisoner has escaped and was acomponied by Sargent Dante" she breathed finally, a great triumphant grin framed her face.

I stared at her and shook my hand for her to come forward she stepped cautiously in front of me I stood towering over her my eyes burning into hers, she coward down before me.

"And how would you know this?" I asked in a low tone she gulped and proceeded to talk wringing her hands nervously.

"I-i sort of...helped them" she whispered looking up at me guilt written on her face, she slowly tried to take a step towards the door, i growled and stalked towards her until she hit the wall next to the door, I pushed her up until our chests were touching I could hear her heartbeat quicken.

"And why did you help them?" I asked glancing into her eyes which were transfixed on my neck.

"Because, i-i didn't want her to take you away from me" she admitted lifting her gaze to mine, I looked away, shit this just got personal I groaned.

"I don't care Angela, the thing is I'm not into you or your..gender" I spat out as if my mouth was on fire and instantly regretted saying anything, she just stared at me with a look of awe.

"Y-youre gay" she whispered, anger boiled inside of me at the word 'gay' my mind drifting back to Chris and my heart began hurting again without his presence.

"Yes but not the point, you let them escape and I needed her you knew I needed her, listen you don't call the shots your just the bitch of the pack so I suggest you call every god damn guard and get them to hunt Dante and Toria down...if you fail its your head that will be hanging on my wall am I understood?" I barked, the look of terror in her eyes scared me a little at my own power, she nodded on the verge of tears then dissapeared out the door.

I sat down at my desk pulling out my wallet again and flipping it open until I found the pictures of me and Chris, I sighed I did know how to love once but now everything has changed...I'm just confused and lonely why did the moon goddess choose this path for me? Does she have a plan? I bloody well hope so. I starred at the picture before placing it face down on my desk dragging my hands over my tired face. I'm so screwed.

DantesP.O.V.

Oh crap, I glanced up ahead of us lifting my foot of the gas I slammed down on the brake Toria and I both lunged forward in our seats as the car came to a hault.

"Are you okay?" I asked holding my aching head. She nodded and looked in horror before us, about 4-5 feet in front of the car stood my whole squad of guards Angela in the front she seemed to be leading them and to the left of them were...the hellhound unit.That bitch I knew I shouldn't have trusted her, Marcus always said she was the bitch of the pack and could never be trusted with anything.

"Dante, I'm scared" Toria whispered her eyes glued to the hellhounds, she made a loud gulping noise and began to shake.

"Hey it's okay Toria don't be scared there just overgrown pups is all" I reassured lightly touching her leg, she gave me a half smile her eyes still on the dogs.

"Dante and Toria what a lovely surprise..not" Angela smirked placing her hands on the hood of the car while the guards stepped closer, I know and have commanded all of those guards its a shame I have to slaughter them all.

"What do you want Angela?" I yelled out the window of the car, Angela gave me a you-know-what-i-want look as she smirked evily at Toria. I glanced at Toria and shook my head.

"You are not getting her not even by force" I shouted stepping out the car, Toria tried to follow but I gently pushed her down into the seat leaning down my eyes still on Angela who gave a little wave smirking.

"Toria stay here and lock the doors don't come out no matter what you see" I whispered "this could get messy" I mumbled standing up and clenching my fists.

"We'll see about that Dante" Angela gave a cocky smirk and flicked her hand forward sending the first squad of troops at me none of them moved for a few seconds.

"Ha they won't touch me I am there Sargent afterall" I said triumphantly, she growled and snapped her fingers at the troops.

"Kill him or your heads will be on the Alphas wall!" She screeched the boys shuddered and began marching forward in a formation, i tensed and took a fighting stance, let the battle begin!
