Sometimes There's No Plausible Explanation

Chapter 1

"Nina!" - As I wake up I hear a very familiar voice calling out my name. I wonder who it is.. I thought I was alone at home today.
"Nina, get up, pack your things!"- She, Margarita , my best friend and only sister, entered my room and laid down beside me with this huge grin from hear-to-hear on her face. What a beautiful way to start the day.
I love to see her smiling like this, she's just so beautiful. And this happiness of her is so contagious.. I haven't seen her like this in a whileee!
I want to ask her what she was talking about but I don't want to ruin the moment so I decide to keep my mouth shut for now.

My eyes wander to that beautiful smile of hers and my head wonder what's its origin. I don't know what happened but I feel so happy that something took her out of that trance she was at since that day..

Ahh, yes! I haven't told you yet.

It's been 8 tough months since we were told that our friends Mia and Aggie had disappeared while going home ...
Mia and Aggie were close friends of ours, we had met them on June 14th last year in my cousin's Irina marriage in Cape Town. We were all Irina's bridesmaids so we had all been on the marriage-rehearsals, where we became friends. It only took 3 long days together for us to create a beautiful and strong friendship.
The rest of that amazing Summer was passed with them in our Summer house in Oporto, Portugal. But after its end they had to go back to Greece and that was when we were told that the plane they were at had disappear.

I mean, how can a plane even "disappear" right?! Huh! This is so frustrating. They're no where to be found. And there are no explanations or plausible theories about where they can possibly be or what happened to them, from no one, not even the government.

A plane with 140 people disappears and no one knows nothing about it.
Nothing. That's a big word right? In our universe, even a dark, empty void of space, absent of all particles, is still something. So, why would they say nothing? Is that plane out of our universe? Were they kidnapped by aliens? What am I even saying, right?!

It doesn't make any sense at all. This is what has happened in 8 months, we have come crazy. All of this is terrifying.
We think that we are safe in this world and that we know everything when the truth is we know 'nothing'...

They disappeared. We've all understood that now. Our hopes have been lost and Magi was the one that accepted it the worst way.
She's been isolating herself the best she can. She refuses to eat at times and she won't talk to anyone but her best friend, Zeus.

That's why I'm thinking that this is a curious sudden change of mood and I need to ask her what happened.
So, I look at her and gather all my courage to ask her "So, what's this all about Magi?".
