Jenny Tuffield didn't necessarily have a good reputation at our school. She was pretty much a bully and known to most of the school as a complete asshole.

Not to me though...

Jenny has always gone a bit easy on me when it came to 'bullying and teasing' me. At most, she'd just  knock my notebook out of my hand or call me a bitch.

Which isn't that bad, considering what she says and does  to the others is way worse..

It wasn't until tenth grade year that she actually started talking to me and being kind of... friendly?

Tenth grade year is also when Bradley Lewis began spreading rumors about me being a dyke because I rejected him.

And ever since that day, Jenny Tuffield and I have been bestfriends.

It's been two years, making us both seniors and closer than ever.

Jenny loves going out and visiting the old abandoned places in town in an attempt to 'get the police riled up' the police.

I'd rather stay inside and binge Netflix for the fifth time that week.

However, today when Jenny came over, she  suprisingly coaxed me out of my bedroom and to the currently shut down fair.

"Come on Y/N! It'll be fun!" Jenny pleads, taking her hands out of her leather jacket and letting them fall to her side.

"The place has been shut down ever since Ricky's brother got injured on that roller coaster, Jenny. I doubt anything even works." I say, causing her to sigh.

Yup, Ricky Berry's brother got pretty badly hurt on a ride a good seven years back. He's okay now (and hasn't been back in town since).

Ricky and Bradley beat the shit out of anyone that mentions it though, which is why it's rarely spoken of.

"I know, but that was so long ago! Plus, wouldn't it be fun just to get out? Please Y/N/N?" Jenny begs, kneeling down next to me and giving me puppy dog eyes.

I chuckle softly, moving a strand of hair out of her face while giving her a hesitant nod.

"Okay fine. Let's do this."

After a good 15 minute walk, Jenny and I finally arrive at the entry way of the fair.

"Come on." She says, motioning with her hand for me to follow her. Jenny quickly grabs the bars of the gate, pulling herself over and into the fair.
