I spent the afternoon with Lexi. She comforted me and we talked about different things, it was great to hang out and see her, but I wasn't upset at all when I could go back to Noah. Tori was home and dad was making some dinner and when I walked in the door I saw Noah laying in a brand new bounce-chair. I went to him and picked him up. His baby blue eyes looked from me then around him then to me again. I said hello to Tori and my dad before going to my room. I laid him in a circle pillow while I put away the clothes I'd bought today. Once they were all neatly hung and folded I pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a tank top and changed into the pajamas. I changed Noah into a grey onesie and then took him downstairs.
My dad had finished dinner, spaghetti and garlic bread, and we sat around the table. I learned that Gabe had classes and practice that lasted until 9 at college so he wouldn't be home until later. Noah sat in my lap while we talked and ate until he got restless. I finished quickly and took him to our room. I laid on the bed and breastfed until he was asleep. I went to the bathroom and took off the makeup I'd had on and brushed my hair out then went and crawled into bed beside him.

I'd been up for a few hours before Noah woke up. I'd taken the time to shower and get dressed. Gabe and I spoke and today was the day we'd go to Drew's for the rest of my things for Noah. I wore a white romper that had red flowers on it and the edges were crocheted at the ends and some white sandals. My hair was fishtail braided to the side and I'd just applied mascara for the day. I laid Noah's clothes out which was a giraffe onesie and some khaki shorts if I decided to put them on him. I woke him up after finishing getting ready. I gave him a quick bath and put the clothes on him. I put him in his seat and packed the diaper bag with his and my essentials. It was 6 in the morning which meant dad had left, but Tori was here. I told Gabe I was ready and we went out to his truck. We put Noah's car seat in and then we left.
"Do you know if he's going to be there?" Gabe asked after an hour.
"No, he should be at work but I don't know if he went or not."
"Do you have a key?"
"Of coarse. And once we finish I will tape it to the front door with a note or something."
"Shouldn't you keep it in case you need something?"
"From him? Never, we'll get everything I or Noah own and we'll be done," Gabe nodded and we kept driving in silence. Noah began to cry a little after he woke up and I gave him a bottle. He fussed then fell asleep again. When we pulled into the town I showed Gabe where to go. I was kind of embarrassed to show him where I'd lived, because it wasn't the cleanest or nicest neighborhood or home.
Once we pulled into the driveway I pulled Noah from his seat carefully and we went inside. The place wreaked of alcohol and uncleanliness. It was gross everywhere. I went to Noah's room and Gabe began carrying the crib, diaper table and the dresser out. Next was my milking chair and the rest of Noah's clothes and diapers and wipes. I put everything I could into trash bags and then went to Drew and I's old room. There were beer bottles everywhere and condom wrappers. I couldn't believe it. I looked through the clothes and saw nothing I needed. I filled the bag up with pictures of me and pictures of Noah besides a few that had Drew. After that I picked up my things in the bathroom when I heard a car pull onto the gravel. Gabe heard it to because he rushed outside. I heard shouting, it was Drew. I grabbed Noah and the last bag and started walking out the back door when I heard the screen door open.
"Destiny?" his voice croaked as I tried to leave quietly. "Des, I know you're here. Come on, please, I at least want to see you and Noah," I closed the door as quietly as I could and then dashed for Gabe's truck. Gabe came out the door looking worried, then he saw me in the front seat. Drew stormed out beside him. "You can't do this! You can't up and leave me! I at least deserve to see Noah! Please Destiny, I just need to talk to you!" he fell on his knees on the porch, he was crying. I looked away.
