Evelyn: Are you free tonight at 7pm?
Ashley: I think so. Why?
Evelyn: I have to attend a rather boring dinner. Would you like to accompany me?
Ashley: Will it be fancy?
Evelyn: Absolutely. It's going to be obnoxious. All expenses covered, so don't worry about it.
Evelyn: Do you know "La Maison De L'ambroisie"?
Ashley: Tell me you're kidding.
Evelyn: Why should I mess with you?
Ashley: Is that going to be like a corporate thing?
Evelyn: It's more of a social "thing". I won't have to represent my parents company or the law firm. I'll be all yours if you'll have me.
Evelyn: Anthony says to tell you he'll be there as well. With his husband. So you'll be no complete stranger.
Ashley: Okay. Alright.
Ashley: What do I wear?
Evelyn: Surprise me.
Evelyn: We might go for some drinks after so be prepared.
Evelyn: If you want to.
Ashley: Slutty or classy?
Evelyn: Both.
Ashley: Preferred colors?
Evelyn: Blue.
Ashley: Dress or pants?
Evelyn: I'll be wearing pants.
Ashley: So a dress. Got it.
Evelyn: Be ready at 6:30.

Ashley's PoV
Getting myself ready was more of a task than I expected it to be. I had to read two weeks worth of news in preperation for conversations that might require me to have an opinion worth sharing.
It was the 5th of November and uncomfortably cold. The dress I had chosen was short and thin and would probably make me freeze throughout the night, but I knew Evelyn would look immaculate and nothing could stop me from trying to match that.
My dress was of a darker blue color, reaching my mid thigh. It was of a soft silky material that clung tightly to my body, falling around my curves in soft folds. My back was mostly exposed and the front allowed a deep glance, leaving little to the imagination. It was slutty. But my long dark wavy hair and soft golden make-up, the jewelry I chose and the stupidly expensive Louis Vuitton shoes Evelyn had gifted me elevated the look enough to keep it acceptable for the fancy people and the expensive ambience.
On 6:30 pm sharp I heard a knock on my door. When I opened it Timothy stood on the other side.
I tried to hide my disappointment with a wary smile and refrained from asking about Evelyns whereabouts. I would see her soon enough.
"Hello, Miss", he spoke, greeting me politely, "you look very beautiful."
"Thank you Timothy. I tried my best", I said, closing and locking the door to my apartment. "Is it not too revealing?"
"Oh no. It's just right. I think Miss Miller will like it."
The journey from my door to the cars door was short and uncomfortably silent. I didn't know what to say and Timothy also seemed to be at a loss of words or rather too professional to assume I'd want to talk with him.
