Avani's POV
Waking up early to get ready for the job interview saying a little prayer for luck to be on my side today.
After taking a shower i let my hair down into its curls, settling on a black fitted skirt with a short slit upfront and a indigo blue chiffon top, with black flats,coating my lips in lipgloss and mascara and a dab of powder, looking at the mirror and winking at my sexy self.
Rushing to the kitchen and grabbing an apple, kissing my aunt cheek and patting Gus on the head,having my Aunt pray for my success. I also noticed Louisiana and Uncle Thomas aren't anywhere so I conclude they had already gone to work
Grabbing the newspaper and jotting the address of the company l rushed to the bus stop, i swear I almost missed it by a minute but seems like luck is on my side

On arrival I stood looking at the big, No huge and long skyscraper staring at me, The Porters inc. wow they must be loaded I thought
Rushing inside and giving my ID to the security i was granted passage to enter walking further "Hey good day M'am i am here for the job interview for the post of account finances"i told her
she looked up at me and smiled"ok dear just take this pass and walk to the last elevator by your right,and go to the tenth floor ok"She said warmly
Doing as she said I arrived at a room with ten other people waiting to be interviewed this spiked up nervousness because there's a lot of competition here.
Taking a seat next to a dirty blonde girl who was thoroughly popping and chewing her gum with much aggression, she looked at me and scrunched her face and uttering cheap slut under her breath, ignoring her i sat straight shoulder raised power oozing out from me because I won't let myself be degraded.
Shortly a lady came in to address us"Good day everyone the interviews would be starting now, i hope you all have a pass because on that pass are numbers which would go in accord with your interviews, sooo.... number one"
"Yes right here Ma"
A Man said standing up, she took him inside a room.
Looking at my pass I figured that i am number eleven ,with a little Pep talk i was boosted up to strive
Not long enough the guy came out with disappointment rolling off him in folds, and then the next person entered while I busied myself playing candy crush (it's a very good game)
Like that everyone went in and came out either crying or disappointed or angry no-one was happy which made me nervous.
"Number eleven pls step forward"

I didn't have much time to dwell on it because it was my turn, getting up offering a weak smile she smiled back and i was ushered into the room stepping in i was awarded with nice polished wood and very sparkly,
A clearing of throat brought me back from my reverie staring at my soon-to-be Boss, blushing at being caught ogling around
"Sooo what do you have to offer"he started,
"Well i majored in accounting with a second class upper degree,and masters in economics and i have no serious job experience in this field,but i was a waiter before"I started
He looked impressed so I continued
"I am multilingual, i can speak Spanish,a little of Italian and french i am currently learning mandarin and i am very soci-"

Ermm that's a enough your hired

"Social with people and friend-
Wait i am hired"
"Yes i said that earlier!"he said with amusement
Doing a happy dance then I remembered i am not being professional I stopped and bowed my head blushing furiously
"Its ok"he said laughing softly pressing the intercom he spoke to someone then turned to me
"Loretta would show you how things work here, i do hope to see more of you"he said fondly
Turning back i was met with the lady who showed me to the room earlier on

When did she get here, well maybe when I was talking to Mr-
"Sorry Sir what's your name"I said shyly
"Oh I didn't introduce myself so rude of me i am Mr John Rodriguez"

"Ok i am Mrs Avani Carter"I replied

"Where you guys so cut up in the interview to say your names which is the starter of the interview"Loretta interjected exasperatedly

Maybe because of my blabbing I thought

Haha very funny,Loretta please show her around and where she would be stationed Mr john said

Right on it sir she answered

"Let's go dear"she smiled warmly to me returning the inviting smile I followed her out

So this is the staff kitchen, where we have lunch break
There are thirty floors on this building we are on the fifteenth floor, the top floor which is the thirtieth floor is reserved only for the big BOSS no one else ok, this is the photocopy room,print room,this where the whole staff have meeting well, it rarely happens only when critical decisions are made like when we experience loss in our labor output or thereabouts. I think that's all any question.

It was a lot of information to take in but i took it shaking my head no.

"Perfect so here is your desk use this intercom to communicate with me here is a phone book for every desk number to be able to communicate"

Collecting and offering a thanks she proceeds to give the company do's and don't
And we settled the rest of the formalities including my payment
Everything was going perfect.

After a long day it is currently five o'clock in the evening I arrange to go home after saying bye to Loretta

Arriving home everyone was waiting at the the living room, when i walked in with a smile
"So...... i take it that you got the job"Louisiana screamed excitedly
Yes i said with much enthusiasm my formal tiredness evaporated,
My admission to Louisiana's claim caused an uproar in the house everyone was happy including Gus.
