Avani's POV
So today I left the house early, to go to "work"
Meanwhile I just went to a nearby cafe with my laptop for a job hunt,Which has been going on with the same results for the past one week
After Ordering a lot of cups of cappuccino

Angrily cussing while surfing the internet I let out an aggravated sigh accompanied with slamming my laptop shut, banging my head gently at the table i didn't care if people taught of me to be crazy at this time because nothing seems to work now in my life
"I am just a poor orphan please destiny cut me some slack and give me befitting job" I wailed in my thoughts
"Excuse me Ma'm are you ok"a waitress asked kindly with worry behind her eyes
"Ya i am good"I said giving her my best fake smile
She seems convinced and walks back to her station.
Deciding to call it a day i set off to go home seeing that's already evening

Arriving home i kissed my aunt on her cheek,patting Gus on the head i asked where Louisiana is arriving today
"Oh honey you didn't know she traveled with her Boss for work related issues she would be back in a week" Aunt finished absentmindedly trimming the grass
Which has me wondering why Louisiana didn't inform me,but I couldn't blame her i have been busy sorting myself out,Yet no good output

Yes very, don't want any mistakes made as you know I am not as strong as used to so I cannot fight any shitty ailments due to my weak immune

"Oh please there are no kids here"he said smugly

"Still that doesn't mean you have a the right to utter such gutter language"Aunt argued rolling her eyes

Watching them bickering makes me wonder when my love would come knocking at the door i sighed dreamily

Bagging on the door startled me getting up to answer opening the door my mouth dropped open.

"Miss Carter i am sure we don't want flies entering your mouth now do we"Lucas Porter my Ex-Boss said
Closing my mouth i asked "what are you doing here"

Who's there Avani, my Aunt said,nervous not knowing what to tell her she came to door and smiled politely at Mr Lucas and staring at me with questions in her eyes

"Good day M'am, sorry for the inconvenience I just want to speak to Miss Carter here, hope is no worries"He spoke politely (well that's a first)

"Oh sure Son"she said turning around and leaving.
"Let's go to my car"he said turning around and walking to his BMW, seems like he has more than one car of course Avani his a billionaire I thought stupidly
Following behind him quietly
Opening the door i sat opposite him

"What do you want" I said aggressively
"Easy there,for starters i gave you a new job and u declined my offer"why?

"Can't you ever speak without being insultive for once"He said covering my mouth with his hand, his hand who knows where its. I shrieked biting his fingers

"Don't touch me" I replied coldly

Ok well leaving that behind you have to take the job offer you have no choice he said

I couldn't control myself I laughed loudly,I think i even snorted
"So y-our th-inking i w-ill do what y-ou sa-y"I said between laughter
I looked up at him he looked serious,so I stopped laughing and l looked up at him saying a solid NO I turned around opening the door to go but he uttered something that made me freeze
"Am sure you won't want your Uncle and Aunt knowing about Alex"
I was shocked how did he know I made sure I hid that aspect of my life very well how did he dig that far this only means he knows more noticing my shocked look he said smugly
"Meet you tomorrow morning at work I hate tardiness"Get out of my car! He finished
Stepping out the chauffeur drove him away.

Driving away from her shocked and scared face was the best thing that has happened today

Opening my suitcase taking out the brown envelope out I stared at it.Miss Carter I have you where i want to with this there's no escape from my wrath now I thought darkly.
