Summer's End

"KATIE! WAKE YOUR LAZY ASS UP YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY BACK!!",Katie's older brother yells from across the house.
Katie lets out a loud sigh and slumps her tired body onto the floor.
She picks herself up and stumbles into the kitchen, the smell of bacon and eggs smother her.
"Goodmorning sleepy head, excited for your first day of your Senior year?!" her mom asked with a slight grin.
"Not exactly, spending all my childhood years at this school, it's gonna be heart breaking to say goodbye to it."Katie said with a teary eye.
"Oh come on Katie, you'll be fine. You're gonna have a bright future ahead of ya." her dad shouted as he walked out the door and headed to work.
Katie and her older brother Thomas sit down at the table and started on their breakfast.

Katie put her dishes in the sink and rushed to beat Thomas to the bathroom.
Thomas let out a loud groan while storming off to him room.
"Haha, loser!", Katie shouted after Thomas.
Katie proceeded to get ready while ignoring Thomas's pleads to let him in.
"C'mon Katie, i'm gonna be late to work"Thomas complained.
"Fine, you're lucky i finished early today" Katie said with an annoyed face but a slight smirk.

At School

Katie made her way into the hallway. She waved at all her friends and found her locker.
Lucky enough her best friend Kali's locker was right next to hers.
Katie and Kali walk their separate ways to their home room.
"What's up mofo's"Katie screams looking each and every kid dead in the eyes.
"Katie, language please", Mr.Man says with a chuckle
Mr.Man was one of those cool ass teachers ya know, you could get away with anything. But never, and i mean never, mention his son who passed away in a crash 3 years ago.
"Ah sorry my Man, how ya doin?!"Katie said with a wave.
"Katie sit down we have to get class started"
Katie took her seat next to her boy best friend Brayden.
"What's up baby cakes, why haven't you been answering your phone."Brayden said with a wink.
"Ah sorry love my mom took my phone away."she winked.
"Alright everyone let's get to know each other, we have some new kids." Mr.Man said with a warming smile.
"Alrighty little kids listen up. I'm Katie Mauck, i love me some chicken nuggets that's all i needed bye bye." Katie said eye balling her teacher.
