Chapter 2: Unexpected meeting

As the Crusaders retreated at the barren lands Viceroy Philip entered his stronghold

Viceroy Philip: Those mongrels have gotten away again, if not because of that sandstorm

Commander John: I am sure we will get them next time sire.

Messenger: Sire the ambassador from Spain has arrived

Viceroy Philp: Bring him in

-The ambassador entered-

Ambassador: I have come bearing news from the King, He asked how is this territory and how are you dealing with the expansion of the empire

Viceroy Philip: Sire, we had a battle a while ago, and a sandstorm hit, we couldn't help it but to retreat

Ambassador: Is there anything mainland Spain can do?

Viceroy Philip: No sir, we can still manage

Ambassador: Ok, goodluck Viceroy

-The Ambassador left-

Viceroy Philip: Jack!

Jack:Yes Viceroy?

Viceroy Philp: Here is a gun and sword, please scout the barren lands and see if there are Muslims around.

Jack: Yes sir

Viceroy Philip: And...If you see one, shoot them

Jack: Absolutely Viceroy.

-As Jack journeyed at the expedition he begun talking to himself-

Jack:If only there is a way for me to meet a Muslim, whether it's a girl or boy I can prove to this idiots that not all of them are threats!

(Ayah's POV)

After the princess exchange stories with her father. She then went back to her room and begun to talk to herself with Zabu.

Princess Ayah: It's been too long since I went out

Princess Ayah: Why don't I go out when my father is not around, that's a great idea.

-Zabu shook his head, saying no-

Princess Ayah: That is going to be good

As Princess Ayah glanced at her father talk to some high ranking officials she listened to the conversation behind a wall.

Representative Hassan: Your highness I am from the kingdom Al-Eazim, the King in my kingdom wants to have a meeting with you, he wants you to meet his son Ahmad

Sheikh Mahmoud: Good tell him, we will be on our way tonight

-Representative Hassan smiled then bowed as he leaves the Palace-

Sheikh Mahmoud: Men ready your armor, we will be visiting our brother from the next area.

-As his man prepared he offered a favor to the maid:

Sheikh Mahmoud: Maids you will be in charge to the palace and of course my daughter.

Maids: It will be followed your highness.

-Before even Sheikh Mahmoud left, Princess Ayah already got her camel and went out of the kingdom unguarded-

Princess Ayah: Finally the fresh air of the desert, and real cactus, not like those paintings that are not even authentic, ugh!

(Jack's POV)

While Jack was still scouting a group of bandits came and beat Jack, Jack tried to shoot the bandits but his gun had no ammo, so he was left unconscious.

Bandit 1: Well he got to have a coin somewhere in his shirt

Bandit 2: Or maybe at the pocket groin

Bandit 1: Ugh let's just leave

The Bandits then left Jack dying at the hot desert

While Princess Ayah was travelling she stopped at the Oasis to get water and begun to travel again there she saw Jack.

Princess Ayah: Oh dear, what happened to this man? I should help him

Princess Ayah took Jack and she established a tent to mend Jack's wound, Princess Ayah cut a piece of cloth from her garment and poured in, in a warm water and placed it at Jack's head. Few hours later, Jack regained control and became conscious.

Jack:Ha! Who are you? why did you kidnap me?

Princess Ayah: Excuse me? I saved you! I saw you beaten up at the desert.

Jack: then thank you. so, who are you

Princess Ayah: I am Ayah, Princess Ayah of Al-Fannar.

Jack: Ayah, I never heard of that name before and Al-Fannar? You are the one in charge of the battles and wars we suffered.

Princess Ayah: Wars? Battles? that's my dad, not me! and. I want to have peace with you, Christians.

Jack: Wait what? peace? I want to attain it also, but your religion, shows extremism

Princess Ayah: The people does but not my religion! know the difference!
