the start of it all

Keino looked up at the sky. It was a long time ago since he did so.

A time so long ago that he forgot how it felt, to receive from the azure blue sky, the comfort he had deserved, the reassurance that he needed. Sometimes he blamed himself, for becoming part of this never-ending cycle, but then he thought again, "It's not my fault, I'm not the only one here."

The mistake wasn't spontaneous. It wasn't accidental. People were once the caring creatures that stepped foot on Earth.

But they made these mistakes on their own accord. They've stopped loving and caring for the things around them, selfishly burning everything around them just to fuel the fire inside their hearts. These behaviours slowly became natural human instinct, embedded into every human's characteristic and personality. Throughout the years of civilisation and urbanisation, everything becomes more accessible and fast-paced. We have won, but at what cost? Zero communication, zero interaction, zero meaningful conversations. The element of Love slowly becomes a waste of time. All you could see, walking around Earth were a bunch of cold-blooded creatures, completely detached from any sort of emotion they have.

That's when it started, to be illegal to fall in love.

ok a/n:

the thing is, i know there's like 5 reads on this shit but i'm not fully sure whether these reads were from myself or other people lol

at this point of time, i have a rough idea on where everything is gonna go but i'm not certain on whether it's going to fall in place as perfectly as i imagine it to be. nevertheless, i'm still going to try to write this story (successfully, i hope) because i haven't been writing for the longest mf time ever and i honestly feel that this concept can be very well elaborated.

ok yes i think im mostly talking to myself, if you're seeing this and you aren't the author then hello there hope you're doing great
