Keino was a small boy, when the rule was implemented. People usually pity the children that were born in that period of time, because they've never truly experienced what love is like.
Keino's parents were different, though. They loved him like no other, and because of that they've never stayed at a place long enough to call home. All that Keino remembers from his childhood, were boxes and bits and pieces of their belongings.
"Keino, ready for school?" his mother hollered.
It was the first day of 12th grade."Put your poker face on and be safe at school okay? Remember your name is ANDREW, NOT KEINO. The last time you exposed your name we had to move and our current financial situation doesn't allow us to move as and when we like so please please please be careful, alright?"
"Okay Mom, chill." Keino knew, he knew the consequences.
And there he departed for school.
The thing is, Keino wasn't fond of his parents love. He was almost sick of it. When you grow up in a society where loving is illegal, even the fundamental love that you should receive from your parents becomes unfamiliar and alien. Sometimes, he admired his other friends, whose parents are robots and wished that his parents would have a metal heart too.
