My grandpa used to tell me that the stars that we see at night are the light of many angels. I was only a child when he said this, so of course I found it incredibly fascinating. But unfortunately years passed and I grew older and as did my grandpa along with growing much weaker. My imagination started slipping away and I no longer believed in that nonsense. His memory slowly went away and once he was 85 years old, his heart took its last beat. I always thought he went to heaven, it seemed more logical than him becoming one of the stars. It wasn't until I was 30 years old that I reunited with my beloved grandpa and I realized he had been right all along. Now from up here in the night sky I can see my children along with their father looking up at me, and they may not know it but I am indeed one of the stars, and I'm always watching over them.

A/N: I really love this poem because it's partly true because this happened with my mom and her grandpa. Yes, my mom is still alive but I just find this concept so beautiful. Hope you all enjoyed it :)
