FMA: Edward Elric X Reader

You stare out into space thinking about him. Edward. Winry came up to you and smiled reassuringly.

"Don't worry (y/n), they'll be home soon." She said placing her hand on your shoulder. You nodded. You grew up with the Elric brothers and Winry. You've always been found of Ed. You two were extremely close. You were there for him and Al when their mom died. You were there for them when Ed lost his arm and leg and Al lost his body. You'll always be there for them. Al is like a brother to you but Ed, he's something more.... You hear the dog bark (Forgot it's name sorry lol), you got up about to walk out the door. You then hear familiar voices.

"Al let's get in quickly. It's hot out here!" You hear Ed's voice. Your eyes widened. Yes, finally your thoughts screamed! You open the door and see Ed standing on the porch with his back facing you. Al had his shiny metal body on the ground petting the dog. Ed heard the door open and he turned around. He gives you his very attractive smile.

"Hey (y/n) wha-" He started but was quickly interrupted by you giving him a tight hug. Ed started to blush a lot. He slowly started to hug back.

"I missed you..." You whispered.

"Missed you too (y/n)" He said back. You finally realized what you were doing. Your face turned really red as you quickly released him.

"I um uh, hey Al!" You smiled at his younger brother who was now standing next to him.

"Hello (y/n) nice to see you!" He happily said.

"Nice to see you too!" You replied back. You hear the door open. You turned around and see Winry.

"You guys are back!" She happily said giving Ed a hug. That made you jealous but you shrug it off, you were to happy that they were home. You guys walk back inside to catch up on life.

*Time Skip*

While Winry and Ed were eating dinner, you exit the kitchen. You weren't hungry. You walk into the room next to the kitchen. There you see Al who was sitting on the couch. You made your way towards him and sat down next to him.

"Hey (y/n), why aren't you eating?" Alphonse's voice echoed through his suit if amour. I let out a sigh.

"I'm just not hungry..." You mumbled leaning back.

"Oh, well are you okay?" He asked. You shrugged. He knew about your love for his brother. He knew you truly cared about him.

"Um yeah, I'm fine..." You said.

"I've been thinking..." Al started to say. You glance at him tilting your head.

"I think, you should confess your love to Edward..." He said quietly. You scoff.

"As if... why would I do that...?" You sighed. He sighed too.

"You just should, you never know, he might love you back..." He said reassuringly. You sarcastically laugh.

"Yeah no..." You said crossing your arms.

"Please just do it. I don't want you to be sad! Once you confess you'll feel better!" Al argued he stood up. You did too. You rolled your eyes.

"Okay fine, even though it's obvious he's gonna reject me..." You mumbled. Al clapped his hands.

"Okay great! Now you should practice what your going to say to him on me!" he happily said.

"I don't know what to say..." You said looking down.

"Don't let your mind speak, let your heart..." He said. You nodded. You take a deep breath and look up at Al.

"I need to tell you something "Ed"..." you mumbled.

"What is it?" Al said trying to mimic Ed which made you giggle.

"We, we have been friends for awhile now, and through out the years of being by your side, I realize that I think of you more as a friend. I-I love you..." You said confidence in your voice. You hear something drop on the ground. You quickly turned around and see Ed standing there with a broken glass on the ground.

"Al... How... (y/n)..." His voice trembled. You swore you saw his eyes water but you couldn't tell because he ran up stairs. You glance back at Al.

"Go up there, you need to ask him why he was so upset..." Al said pushing you lightly up the stairs. You nodded and quickly went up. You lightly knock on the door.

"Ed...? Can I come in?" Your voice said. There was no response but you walked in anyway. You see Ed sitting on the bed, his automail arm covering his face. He looks up at you, his eyes were a little watery and red. You sat across from him.

"Ed I," I stared to say but was quickly interrupted by Ed.

"(y/n), to be honest I thought you loved me. Guess I was wrong. I-I love you, you may love Al but, my feelings for you will never change, I just thought you should know that." He quietly said. Your heart skipped a beat. You could only think of one thing to do. You leaned in and kissed him. You feel your face get hot. You then broke the kiss and stared deep into his golden eyes.

"You idiot, I love Al as a brother, I was just practicing of what I was going to say to you with him. I love you..." You said with a smile. Ed's eyes widened.

"You do...?" He said surprised. I nodded with a giggled. You then feel his lips press against yours again. He then hugged you tightly.

"Good, cause I couldn't handle it if you didn't love me." You giggled. You then kiss him again.

"I love you so damn much (y/n)..." You hear Edward's voice.

"Love you too Ed..."
