"Please put this one on that side... this portrait needs to be put together with this one because it is somehow connected." I wiped my sweats with my face towel as I check the list of my portraits and paintings.
Me and my team were really busy because we only have 14 hours till the start of my exhibit.
"Ms. Harper where will I put this?" I was taken aback. It was not in the list. How did that painting end up here?
"Wait...where did you get that?"
"It was placed on the backseat of your car together with your cameras."
"Huh? I can't remember putting that in my backs...shit Thalia!" I mouthed "sorry" to my staff because she became suddenly stiffed and don't know what to do.
I told the staff to hand the painting to me. I'll put it back to my car.
I was about to put it in the backseat when someone close the door.
"Seriously?!" I shouted.
"Oh come on Elly!! Why are you doing this to me?"
"Huh?"
"That portrait is so damn heavy. Your unit is located on the 13th floor!!" I put the painting on my side. Luckily, It is wrapped completely so it is safe.
"In the first place, why do you have to bring it here? when it safe at my unit?" she rolled her eyes at me.
"It's the same painting that is supposedly shown from your last exhibit and that exhibit is over a year ago. Why? Why do you have to hid it inside your unit? Why did you have to paint that If you don't want it to be seen by everyone?"
"Why so serious?" she laughed when Thalia frowned and gave her a smack to her head.
"Aish! Seriously Elle? Why don't you put that together with the portrait of Taehyung my love?" I cringed and she just mocked me. Hay! love can really change someone haha!
"I thought you'll buy Taehyung's portrait? Why do I have to put it in my exhibit?"
"I know! I just want to experience the bidding part. It's been a year since I stopped doing that you know. I kind of missed it hehe" she raised her two fingers as a peace sign. I sighed and open the backseat's door again.
"No..no! do not put it there! I swear to G Elle! I'll break that goddamn door of yours" I raised both of my hands as a sign of defeat. She claps her hands like a child as she calls one of my staff and ask to pit the painting back on the exhibit hall.
In the next four hours, we just spent our time in putting my works on the wall.
"Okay guys, you may take your break. Let's meet here again after an hour." They all nodded as they prepare themselves to see the way out.
Thalia was helping me check the lists of my works.
"Thanks for adding that portrait of yours to the list hihi"
"As if I have a choice."
"Why do you have to hide that painting? You want it for yourself? I thought you already moved on from J.."
"Moved on? Why do I have to move on when in the first place we didn't date each other?"
"Hmm...why are you so startled when Taehyung-ie said his name last time?"
"It's been two years since we last saw each other. Of course that would be my expression. But you guys fooled me! I thought it was really him."
Thalia laughed at her and she just rolled her eyes.
"Taehyung is always like that. Always playful, cute, and handsome" I smacked hed head as she daydreamed her boyfriend. Still the same crazy Thalia.
"Anyway, did you accept the offer? It's a big opportunity for you."
"My visa will soon expired and I have to go back home. I still need to help my parent's in their business."
"Oh come on! You can still renew your visa! also you have your little brother to help your parents with their business."
I sighed, "But Thalia...you know it's too much. I will spend another month here in South Korea. Be their photographer for their upcoming album. What if I failed? What if I didn't fill their satisfaction? That would be the cause of delay of releasing their album."
"You're being OA Elle! Don't overthink. I know you know that you're a great photographer. I've seen your works and your exhibits were all sold out. Just try it. It's really a great opportunity for you."
"I'll think of it."
"But hey! Come to think of it. I have the reason to see my Taehyung everyday and also you get see Jungk— I mean the rest of BTS. Omygash! That would be the death of me. Seeing Taehyung almost gave a heart attack but getting to see all of them? With those dashing smiles and well built body. Oh come on Elle! Accept it!!!"
I just smiled at her. She's really excited but here I am still nervous. I trust myself but it is my idol group. That's the most amazing thing that I've heard since I started my career but still I can't help myself but to hesitate.
I slowly open the wrapped of the painting. I smiled.
"I think it's time for us to meet, Jeon Jungkook."
