I was making my way to the library, the air was crisp and the sky was a dark blue with no clouds in the sky. This town always seemed so lonely, so sad. But I never wanted to leave. My grandmother was here and she meant the world to me, she raised me to become the woman I am and I could never leave her behind. When I got to the library like I did everyday I went to the back and sat down my bag before heading up to the front desk to help people check out. I loved working at the library, such a simple and quiet job. I get to hang out with children, get to meet new people, get first dibs whenever a new book comes out. I was paradise. I was sitting at the front desk, writing. I love writing poetry, I have so many emotions and never know how to express them so instead I write them down. The next day I got a text on my way to work, it was Harry asking if I could come over after work and I of course agreed. After the library I headed to his house and knocked on the door. Moments later he opened the door for me and let me. We walked upstairs to his room and both sat on his bed. We didn't say much. "I'm sorry about yesterday." I decided to speak up."Sorry? A-about what?" he asked and I looked over to him."Logan. You shouldn't have done anything." I said."What do you mean? He was hurting you. I had to do something.""You aren't stuttering." I said, looking at him and smiling."Y-yeah." he blushes. I hear a thud and I look up to look down one of the aisels to see a man. He looked a bit timid but to my view attractive. He had chocolate brown hair that would fly back as if it were a quiff, but had curls on the sides of his head. He leaned down and grabbed the drop book looking at it before setting it back on the shelf. His eyes traveled over the books, and I became more fansitanted in him for some reason. He turned to me moments later probably sensing my staring. His face was blank, and moments later he sped out of the library looking down to the ground. What a weird guy."Don't start now." I pout and he smiles at me."I had to do something, I'd do anything for you." he said and I blushed. "I'm sorry." I said, tears welling up in my eyes. "W-why are you crying?" he asked and I looked over to him."No one really cares about me. I mean my grandma does. But. Logan said he cared for me and then hurt me. I just. I don't have that in my life." I said, crying. "I care about you." he said, and I looked over to him and his hands came around my shoulders and brought me closer. "I understand when things are hard." he whispered. I went home later that day to look across the way and see an older woman, about in her 50's. She had groceries, I hadn't seen her before, she had to be new to the neighborhood right? When I walked in and greeted my grandmother, she was sitting at the couch watching soap operas as usual. "Jules! I have a batch of cookies on the stove, could you bring them over to the new neighbors?" she asked, and I turned to her."I thought I saw some new faces." I said to her and she nodded to me. "W-what do you mean?" I asked."I'm this way because of my father. H-he w-wasn't a g-good man." he sighed, I looked up to him."What?" I said, feeling my heart crumble."H-he hit m-me, a-lot. I-I-w-was never-supposed to t-tell anyone, t-then my m-mum found the b-bruises. H-he went to j-jail and I. I was n-never the same." he sighed, holding me."I'm so sorry." I said looking up to him. "It's okay, it's over now." he said, slowly. I nodded and looked up to him. "I-" he cut me off when his soft lips came down to mine.It was a soft innocent kiss that he pulled off of after I had kissed him back. I smiled up at him and cuddled more into my chest."J-Juliet, w-would you g-go on a d-d-date with me?" he asked, and I looked into his eyes and slowly nodded before pecking his lips again.I was at the front door of the new neighbors home with a box of cookies in one hand and the other coming up to the door. Moments later the door was opened and I was met with the woman from earlier. She had dark brown, almost black hair. A wide smile on her face and bright green eyes. "Hello!" she greeted."Hi! I'm Jules, I'm your neighbor, I live right next door with my grandmother, she made a batch of cookies for you." I smiled handing them off to her and she smiled widely."Oh! I will have to thank her! Thank you for bringing them over. I'm Anne. " she said and I nodded. "So is it only you here?" I asked and she shook her head."My son is hibernating upstairs." she said and I chuckled. The next day at work he showed up and he spoke about the next book he had finished up, it was 'Supermarket'. He was going on about it at the front counter and then returned it, he stayed there for almost my whole shift before taking me out for the date. We decided on a cafe. I ordered for him, he was trying to order and the waiter looked angry so I had done it for him so he wouldn't get hurt. After the sweet date he took me back home, holding my hand all the way. When I got to my front door he had given me a sweet kiss, by cupping my jaw and putting his lips on mine. We kept going on dates, and I helped him get a job at the library so we could work together. We'd have sleepovers at his place and we'd eat with each other's families. He was nervous to meet my grandma, but it was soon relieved when she told him how much she loved him. "Harry!" she shouted. "Come down! I want you to meet our new neighbor!" I looked at her and smiled before looking down to the ground. Moments later I heard footsteps rushing towards us and looked up to see the boy from the library. "Harry this is Jules. Jules this is my son Harry." she said, and I stuck out my hand and he looked at me like I was an alien. "Sorry about him, he's a bit shy." she said, patting his back. He had the same green eyes as hers, but they seemed much darker. Emotionally. He had the same straight face set on and didn't say much. I smiled at him."J-Jules isn't a name." he said, out of nowhere. His voice is deep and english like his mother."Harry!" Anne scowled."It's okay, my real name is Juliet." I smiled at him and he nodded looking away from me. Falling in love with Harry wasn't hard. I never found a problem, not even with his anxiety. I would be there when he had episodes, always trying to calm him down. We'd wound up cuddling and I would just talk to him, because he told me he found my voice soothing. He got a job at the local diner, he worked in back, since he didn't want to have an episode while working up front. He told me he loved me on our 4 month anniversary, it was Christmas Eve. I could've felt any better. I told him I loved him and that night we made love. We hadn't done it before for many reasons. For his anxiety, and how I had my virginity stripped away by Logan. He wanted to make sure I really wanted it, and that he'd perform well, and of course he did. I soon left after that, heading back to my house. I sat with my grandmother until she had to go to work, she worked as a nurse. Then I headed out to the back porch for some fresh air. I sat down on the patio chairs and brought my knees up to my chest as I looked out, into the woods. I was always scared of these woods growing up, never knowing what was inside of them. But now that I'm older, it seems just indifferent. Moments later I heard a sound of a door closing and looked over to see someone standing on the neighbors porch. I started classes at the local college and moved into an apartment. Harry disliked how far away I was, he anxiety had gotten worse even though I was only across town. He decided that he wanted us to move in together and I had agreed, wanting to be with him and wanting to make him happy. Anne had to adjust to this since for almost 20 years she took care of him. For the next 4 years, until I graduated we were together. Within those years, my grandmother passed away and I had to get her house ready for sale. "Hey." I said, and the person looked over to me. Even in the dark I could see his green eyes, knowing it was Harry. "H-Hello." he said, looking over to me. "W-what a-are you d-doing out here?" he asked, stuttering through the sentence."Getting fresh air, how about you?""S-same." he said, sitting on one of the steps of his patio that was facing my direction."Those steps don't look so comfortable, you wanna borrow a lawn chair.""Oh, uh. N-no that's o-okay." he said."Come on no trouble." I smiled, standing up and bringing a lawn chair over to him. He took it to his patio and set it down before waving to me and going inside. After I graduated we moved to London from Hereford, England. We moved into a house and after that I soon got pregnant. Harry was worried of course, he didn't know how he's mom would react to this, he literally freaked out. But it wasn't because he didn't want a baby. It's because he was planning on asking me to marry him and he felt everything was ruined because I had gotten pregnant. But then I told her it wasn't and we could get married after we had the baby. I settled him like I always did. After that he was on and off of being okay. I was worried about him, but when he went to the first scan for our child, he had gone back to his usual self, being able to cope and love. The next day at the library, Harry showed up again. He was scanning through the books, this time I decided to go over to him, maybe help him pick one out."Hey Harry." I said, and he jumped at my voice, which seemed calm to me."O-oh J-Juliet." he smiled at me. I nodded."Need help finding a book?" he was looking at me as I was speaking, his eyes wondering my face as I spoke making me a bit self conscious. "S-sure." he nodded."What do you like?""A-anything." he said, and I nodded before leading him to the classic novels."You peg me as a classic fan." I smiled over at him and he had a small smile on his face as he kept staring at me. "Why do you keep staring at me?" I asked."C-cause y-you're-b-beautiful." he said, his cheeks going red as he looked down to his shoes. I felt my heart flutter.Anne wasn't mad about us having a baby, she was excited. We had the baby, Sophia in January. He was completely and utterly in love with her. We had our wedding in May, when Sophia was about 5 months. After that we couldn't have been more happy. Harry's anxiety almost disappeared when he became a father. About 3 years later I found out I was pregnant again. Harry had a completely different outlook from the first time. But he wanted to move back home. So we moved into my grandma's old house. In September we had another baby girl, Katie. For a long time it was just the four of us. Anne would babysit them and we would be really happy. When I was in my mid- thirties I got pregnant again and the girls had been 9 and 13. We found we were having twins and had a boy and girl. Jack and Jessica. Sophia grew up quickly, quicker than I could expect and moved out to go to school at Oxford, she was a very smart girl. "Oh." I said, nodding, looking at the books. "I think you're beautiful too." I said, and he looked up at me with wide eyes."R-really?" he asked and I nodded. I saw a small smile stretch across his face. One I hadn't seen in the last three encounters with him. "You have a nice smile." I complimented before turning back to the books. "Y-you do t-to." he said, and I looked over and smiled at him while a small blush rushed over my face. We stood there just looking at each other before I cleared my throat and looked over to the books. "I think you'd like great expectations." I said. "It's all about self discovery." he nodded his head and I picked out the book and handed it to him. He followed me to the front and I helped him set up an account before checking out the book for him. Katie met her boyfriend in high school, and of course Harry hadn't liked him at first since it was one of his baby girls. But he soon got used to Eric. Katie got married when she graduated college to Eric. I always knew she'd be happy with him. Jack grew up and was very outgoing and caring, just like Harry. He was always a momma's boy though, which made me feel good since all of the girls loved their father a lot, they were all daddies girls. Jessica was very beautiful, I mean all the girls were beautiful but she got a modeling contract when she was only 16. Harry didn't want her to do it, and I told her all the risks of being in that type of life and helped her come to a decision. I had to talk Harry into it when she wanted to become a model. She loved it. She loved posing and loved the friends she had made. She had really only done face modeling which we were happy about. When I got home that night I went out to the patio like I usually would. That's when I saw Harry on his patio sitting in the chair I gave him while reading the book I picked out for him. I smiled to myself before sitting down on my patio and grabbing out the book I was reading, Dear John, and I continued to read, I felt a presence and looked over to see Harry looking at me. I smiled at him and waved and he had done the same. Harry and I never stopped being so in love. When the kids finally moved out of the house his sex drive was turned on. But I really didn't mind. Growing old with him was a blessing. I couldn't love him anymore than I already had, well I thought. But of course I could fall more in love with him, he was my Harry. Part 2A few weeks later, after getting to know Harry and Anne, trying my best to be around them even though Harry was incredibly shy. I was on my way to work, I saw Harry walking all alone. I decided to go over and walk with him, assuming he's going to the library."Hey Harry!" I said, catching up with him. He shakes when I say that, and he looks over at me, and tears well up in his eyes. "What's wrong?" I asked, stepping forward. He whimpers and looks down to the ground. "Harry." I said, "should we get you home?" he nods his head. I reach out my hand and he takes it and I lead him home. "Is your mom home?" I asked, and he shook his head. When we got to his house, he handed me his key and I opened it up and headed upstairs with him into his room. "Okay, I have to go to work, alright? Can I call your mom?" I asked, and he nodded his head and handed me his phone. I dialed her number."Hey Honey." she said."Um, it's Jules.""Oh, hey, is he alright?""Well on my way to work, I saw him and I think I startled him and he's just-.""oh dear," she interrupted. "Could you stay with him until I get home? He has really bad anxiety, and he shouldn't have gone out today. I knew he was off this morning." she said, and I felt my heart sink. "Oh, yeah okay. I will stay." I said and she breathed out."Okay, thank you dear! I will be home around four, I'm sorry about this, you really don't have to.""Oh, it's okay. I don't mind.""Okay, thank you Jules, I gotta go now." she said and I hummed before she hung up. I turned to him and he was sitting on his bed looking straight forward. I walked towards him slowly."Harry." I whispered. "Do you want to lay down?" I asked, and he nodded. "I'll go get you some water." I said, and walked downstairs when I came back up he was hyperventilating. I set down on the water and kneeled down in front of him. "Hey." I said, my hand slowly coming up to his face. "Deep breathes." he looked into my eyes, tears welling up in them. "It's okay. It's okay." I said, and he nodded with tears coming out of their eyes. "H-hold me, please." he said, his voice crumbling and I nodded. His shaking as he gets under the covers, I get into the bed and wrap my arms around him. His hands slowly come around my waist and bring me closer. I snuggled into his neck and tried to tell him soothing things, his breathing started to steady and soon deepened. I slowly felt myself fall asleep in his grasp. "Juliet." I heard my name and my eyes slowly fluttered open. I looked up to see Harry."Oh." I whispered, I sat up and looked over to him. "Are you okay, now?" I asked and he nodded. "M-my m-mom c-came-." he tried. "Hey, hey. It's okay, calm down." I said, my hands going to his cheeks, rubbing my fingers across them.. "My mom c-came in and s-saw us." he said, and I nodded."It's okay. You're okay." I said, and he nodded and looked into my eyes. "She f-finished supper." he said and I nodded. "Let's go down." I said, and he nodded. We got up and went downstairs, Harry leading me down. Moments later there was a banging on their front door and I turned my head."I'll get it." Anne said, walking towards it. "Oh, Jules, this man is here for you." she said, and my heart dropped. I looked to Harry before going to the door to see him. To see Logan. He glared at me as I got closer and I felt my hands shake. "H-hi Logan." I said when I got to the door. He quickly grabbed my wrist and dragged me out."What the fuck are you doing?" he spat at me."None of your business." I replied and his hand came to my cheek, slapping me across the face."Bitch tell me." he spat, "You don't reply to me. You're mine, got it?" he said and I felt tears well up in my eyes."L-let me go, please." I begged and he shook his head, his hand coming to my jaw. "You're mine.""Let her go." I heard a voice, and turned my head to see Harry."Who the fuck are you?" Logan spat."Leave him alone, Harry go inside." I said, and Harry looked at me. Moments later I was out of Logan's grasp and I heard grunts. When I saw Logan on the ground with Harry now standing in front of me. I had no idea what to do."Harry." I said, my hand going to his back. "Leave!" I shouted at Logan who tried to get back up. He lifted after glaring at Harry. I got in front of him, and he was looking down at the ground, his breath uneven."Hey. Hey." I said, my hand coming up. "Thank you, so much." I said, kissing his cheek. He looked at me, and a small smile came to his face. "Y-you kissed me?" he said, and I nodded. "Can you do it a-again?" I nodded and smiled at him before kissing his cheek again. "Is your hand alright?" I asked, taking his hand to see his knuckles busted it up. "Come on." I said. I led him inside and Anne saw him and her eyes went wide."Harry! What happened?""H-he was hurting her." Harry said."I think I should go." I said, looking down. We had finished dinner and I needed to go home and check on my grandma before she left. I also had to call the library and tell him why I wasn't there today. Anne smiled and nodded."Thank you." she said, and I shook my head."No need to thank me." I smiled."B-bye J-Juliet." he smiled at me and I did the same before kissing his cheek and turning on my heel. When I got home my grandma went on a rant about the climate as she ate her supper I made. After that she went to work and I called my work to explain to them what had happened.
