I was 4 when my mother left. Well, taken away. I had no idea why. I was four.

I understood two years later. When I six. My older sister Fuyumi (11) told me. Kinda. "She burned Shoto's face off."

"Why?" She smiled at the sound of innocence in my voice. "She was just upset."

I wish she never said that. I began to hate my mom. Then I heard my older brother, Shoto (7), screamed. I rushed off my sister's bed and into the kitchen. I saw my other brothers , Touya (12) and Natsuo (10), watching in horror.

My 'twin' was on the ground crying. With my father over him. "Get up. You'll never be a hero if you're this week!"

I pushed him. My siblings have quirks, but I was born quirkless. Somehow, I pushed him down. Then he grabbed a really be kitchen knife. "You worthless quirkless child!!!"

He slashed the knife on my right eye. I screamed in pain. "No!!"

5 hours latter....

I slowly opened the one eye that wasn't damage. "Oh my god, your okay!" Natsuo said. "Are you okay?" Shoto asked. Before I could answer, Fuyumi grabbed my arms.
"You need to run."

"Tris, leave and don't come back."

"Why?"

"He'll kill you!"

Touya grabbed me by my shoulders. "Tris, you have to leave. Please!" I looked around at my siblings. "O-okay..." My sister took off a necklace.
It was a silver gun with a red jewel hanging by it. She put it around my neck. "Don't forget us, okay?" I nodded. Natsuo helped me out the window. I started to run and I didn't look back.
