Mal's Older Sister

Chapter 14

I looked in the mirror and pulled my shirt up. I saw that my stomach was thinner than yesterday and I smiled. "Seems like those pills made a difference." Aurora said and I looked at her. "Not big enough." I said sighing. "Honey, it will get thinner soon enough." She said. "I want to become thin." I told her. "I got something else to help you. You see those two fingers? Those are friends who help you, grab things, and they will also help you become thinner. Just eat a lot of food, wait about 10 minutes, then stick those two fingers to the back of your throat, and bamn. Easy as pie." She said. "Really?" I asked. "Of course. You should try it sometime if these pills don't work." She said. "What kind of food should I eat?" I asked. "Greasy food or carbs. If doesn't work, then use a soda or something with calories." She said and left. 

Lunch then came and I got some a burger with a salad. I sat down with my friends and started eating. "Woah girl." Uma said. "What?" I asked. "Are you hungry?" Gil asked. "Yes." I said and kept eating. 20 minutes later after I finished my food and let it almost digest, I went to the bathroom and closed the stall door. I leaned over the toilet and stuck my fingers down my throat. I then felt vomit come up so I threw it up before spilling the contents in my stomach into the toilet. I grabbed my stomach and flushed the toilet before heading back to the cafeteria. I went back to the table and sat down. "You alright?" Evie asked and helped me sit down. "Did you throw up?" Uma asked and I nodded. I put my hands on my head and leaned against the table. "Why?" Uma asked while rubbing my lower back and Evie moved my hair out of my face. "Were you stressed or something's going on or what?" Evie asked. "Stress, I guess. I don't know." I said. "Do you want to go back to your dorm?" Gil asked.

"No, I'll be fine." I said. "If you threw up, that means you should go and rest." Uma told me. "I know. I have duties I have to do as a Queen." I said. "Fairy Godmother will understand." Gil told me. "I'll be back." I said as tears went down my face before heading to the bathroom again. I dried my tears off and looked at myself in the mirror. I then felt myself feel nauseous before going to the toilet and throwing up. I then felt my eyes roll to the back of my head before fainting onto the ground.

Evie's POV

"She's been gone for a long time." Uma said. "I hope she's alright." I said. "Guys, I just went into the bathroom and I saw Mel on the ground while passed out. She isn't waking up." Jane said and Harry went to the restroom and I followed with the others behind me. "Mel, wake up. Wake up." Mal said while looking at her. "Bring her to the hospital." I said and Harry lifted her up. "She's so light." He said and they went there. A while later, we went there and waited for the doctors. "Family of Melody?" He asked and we got up. "She's doing fine. We have a tube in her arm to help get the nutrients back. She's probably weak right now so when you guys leave, help her get around and make sure she takes it easy." He said and brought us to the room. She woke up and looked around.

"Where am I?" She asked and Harry put a pillow behind as he and Ben helped sit her up. "You fainted in the bathroom so we brought you here." Mal said and Mel sighed. "What were you thinking, Mel?" Mal asked. "That I wasn't pretty enough!" She said. "What?" I said. "You guys all have boyfriends or girlfriends while I don't. Ever since me and my ex broke up, I've been thinking about how I'm not pretty enough or I'm not skinny enough. I remembered that Aurora lost weight so I wanted to know how. She gave me these laxative pills so I took them and recently, I started purging to lost weight faster." Mel said. "Your literally skin and bones, Mel. You are beautiful not anything that anyone else says." I told her. "Easy for you to say. You have a boyfriend who loves you. What do I have?" She asked.

"You have multiple best friends who love you, you have me who looks up to you as a older sister, you have a little sister who wants to be just like you, you have parents who are proud of you." Harry said while sitting next to her on the hospital bed and holding her hand. "We can help you, Mel. You just need to let us." He told her. She sighed before pulling up her sleeves. Her arms were bone thin and I gasped. "Why?" Mal said. "I don't want to talk about it." Mel said. She pulled down her sleeves and looked down. Tears were going down her face and I went over. "It's okay. We can help you." I told her. She looked at the tube and her eyes widened. "Don't worry. It's giving you things you need so let it." Uma told her and she nodded. 

Melody's POV

After Uma told me about the tube, I leaned back and Harry sitting on a chair next to my bed. "You okay?" The doctor asked coming into the room and I nodded. "We're not gonna make you eat too much but here's a granola bar and some soda." He said giving me the stuff and Harry put the drink next to me. He left the room and I opened the package before slowly eating the bar. "It's okay." Evie told me and I nodded, eating.
