the sun beamed down through the windows of the warm classroom on the students. they all sat alone at their desks as they stared at the endless words on the test they had to complete, longing for the school bell to ring.

one particular boy, though, sat with a pout on his face as he glared down at the mistake he'd made. he flipped his pencil around to remove the word from the page before realizing that there was no rubber on the end.

reaching into his pencil case, the boy prayed he could find what he was looking for. but today was not his lucky day. there was no eraser. his eyes made their way to the seat on his left, only to remember his best friend, seungmin, wasn't at school today.

feeling worried as he watched the minutes tick down, nearing closer to the deadline to hand the test in, the boy decided to swallow his fears and look to his right. looking over, he noticed that the seat was, for once, not empty.

sat there was lee minho. his deep brown hair fell over his forehead as he leaned over the sheet of paper in front of him, writing word after word on the topic of the american civil war. even now, he looked intimidating.

despite his concerns, he decided to give minho the benefit of the doubt.

"h— hey... do you have an e— eraser?" his voice came out small and weak for two reasons; they weren't supposed to be talking at all, and he was quite scared. the ravenette looked up from his test and over to the boy beside him before nodding his head quickly.

minho seemed... surprised? he reached into his hoodie pocket and pulled out a small, pale blue eraser and handed it to the blonde with no words or even emotion. the other boy whispered a grateful "thank you" as he took the item and used it to erase his mistake.

that day, han jisung became the first person to speak to lee minho.
