Right after Margot Anne hung up the phone, she looked down and realized she was still wearing her school uniform. She quickly went to change into a ditsy floral sundress and her beat up white converse. she wanted to look somewhat cutesy but not like she tried to hard because that seemed to be Kyles vibe.

Margot spun around in the mirror, getting all angles of her look before she heard a knock at the door. She smiled widely and patted down her dress before walking to the front door. She took a deep breath before opening the door to reveal Kyle standing on the doormat with a singular pinkish white wildflower. The flower was dainty and pretty and he held onto it proudly.

"I..." he stammered "I, uhhh, picked this for you.."

Margot graciously accepted the flower from his hand.

"If it's dumb, or you don't like it then you can just like throw it out or something-" he scratches the back of his neck pretending not to be nervous.

"Kyle..." Margot wrapped her hand gently around Kyles forearm "I love it."

He smiled in relief and dropped the tension from his shoulders. Margot pushed her hair behind her ear and placed the flower there as well.

"I like the look." Kyle smiled, as Margot did a little twirl, then he held his hand out for her to take. they walked to his car and he even opened the passenger door for her.

Margot whispered a thank you before sliding into the seat. She was so happy to be in Kyle's car but she couldn't help but be incredibly nervous. Margot had a beautiful personality with looks to match but despite that, she had never had a boyfriend or even been on a real date.

When Kyle got into the driver seat and started the car, he waited a few minutes before taking Margots hand into his. He rubbed his thumb on the back of her hand when she looked over at him and smiled.

"you're beautiful margot anne." kyle said softly.

margot smiled at the floorboard before looking over at the boy in the driver seat. "thank you kyle."

they arrived at the coffee shop and he opened the door for her once again. margot didn't like coffee so she ordered a tea. they grabbed a small table together outside and kyle couldn't stop staring at her while she removed her purse from her shoulder and placed it on the back of the chair.

"you're staring.." margot giggled.

"i know." kyle replied with yet another soft smile.
