A Diamond In The Rough

Diamond dream dilemma 

Today's story starts with me standing in pitch black darkness.   I gaze into the deep darkness when suddenly I see a  light pierces through and lightly dims the room.   Soon I was able to see my hands in front of me but I also saw silhouettes walking like mindless zombies.  I look closer and I noticed that the ordinary people. I said look at them harder I noticed theme no control over their body and actions.  I was terrified and ran away but they chased after me.  As they were about to catch me. I woke up in my room and realized it was all a dream.  Left me a little shaken up but it wasn't like I hadn't had weird dreams before.  So I just shrugged it off like it was nothing.  I got dressed I put on a purple T-shirt and my blue yoga pants.  I was also feeling I'm a little adventurous that day so I thought why not try out my new invention the hover skates.  Unfortunately we are testing out my new invention we're going to school did not turn out well.  They wound up spiralling out of control.  I am ended up landing on top of Alex again.

" how many times are you going to come spiralling downhill at high speeds and land on top of me like you're some bowling ball trying to hit the pins? " asked Alex

" well I guess these hover skates need more movement " I said

" Diamond are you all right you don't look too good your eyes are a little bloodshot and the bags under your eyes. Did you get enough sleep last night. " said Alex

" yeah of course I did I just stayed up a little to work on my new invention that's all. " I said confidently

" invention oh really that's interesting because last time I checked whenever you work on your inventions and stay up late doing it you still look well rested. But you don't look well rested to me you look exhausted. " Alex said worried

" yeah it was just inventing nothing else " I said defensively

" Diamond are you sure you're all right you look like someone who's been kept up all night by bad dreams. " Alex  said worried

" Bad dreams good dreams I don't get bad dreams I get weird dreams but not bad dreams.  " I said defensively

" oh OK if you say you're fine just know you can tell me if somethings wrong we are partners. " Alex said concerned

" I know we're partners but I don't have to tell you everything just because of that.  After all I'm a tough spot and spies don't talk about things that make the leak like their feelings or somethings wrong with them which there's not. " I said defensively

" do you know you kind of sounds like those girls and people in anime who were always pretend you're tough and cold but turn out to be pretty warm people" Alex said warmly

" well that's not me I already pretend to be someone some perfect lady are used to do it because I thought it made my mom happy turns out she just wanted to see me happy now I do it because of public expectations and to hide my secret identity as a spy." I said defensively

" Oh really because if I remember correctly the day you found out I was a heavy hitter you flipped out like a joyous fan girl you squealed with happiness" Alex said confidently

" inventing makes me overexcited that's all I wasn't fan Girling I was just excited to invent something " I explained defensively

" you know acting tough and being tough are two different things just know you can always be yourself around me and tell me if you have any problems it's all right to open up to others. " Alex said comfortingly

" i'll keep that in mind it's time for school let's go before relate. " I said quietly

" yes of course " Alex said quietly
