"Doctor! Doctor! Tell me what's wrong with her." Sonny said tapping the doctor's shoulder.

"Sir, go sit in the waiting room." The doctor said.

"Go wait in the--" Sonny stopped in his tracks. He felt defeated. Cher was his life.

Cher was lying on her left side. She was sleeping. She couldn't talk because she had a breathing tube down her throat. Whatever happened to her was bad.

All she could really basically do was sleep and blink. Sonny walked back into the room despite doctors orders.

He sat in the chair placed besides the hospital bed.

"Sir, please go." The doctor said.

"Why can't I be alone with her for a minute?" Sonny asked.

To keep from arguing the doctor left the room.

"Cher, please wake up." Sonny said rubbing Cher's hand.

Sonny then got the the idea to sing their famous duet to her. He seen it done by other people in the hospitals. Singing was key to comfort.

"They say we're young and we don't know

We won't find out until we're grown

Well I don't know if all that's true

'Cause you got me, and baby I got you

Babe

I got you babe

I got you babe

They say our love won't pay the rent

Before it's earned,

Our money's all been spent

I guess that's so, we don't have a pot

But at least I'm sure

Of all the things we got

Babe

I got you babe

I got you babe."

"I love ya babe." Sonny said kissing her head.

Sonny got up from the chair and left, so the doctor could figure out what was wrong with her.
