Sliding down in the chair, you let the exhaustion roll over me in waves. Working at the coffee shop down town, has left you bone tired and sore. You had to cover for Adley's shift since she got sick, so you worked two full time shifts. You felt like Tiana from Princess and the frog. You were eighteen and a college drop out.

Suddenly your door busted open and Adley strolled, looking better than you did in your tired state. Glaring at her, " Hey, Spongebob!"

" What were you sick with again? Laziness? Or, were you caught in your blankets." You question innocently.

" I was getting us these!" She said, holding out two tickets.

Not even bothering to look at them, you slip your shoes off and throw them in your room. " Rub my feet, Blue Clues."

" Y/N you have to look at these!" She practically screeched in your ear.

Huffing, Adley sat next to you and started kneading your feet. After a few minutes of silence, Adley blurted out, " I stood in line all day for these! Please, just look at them!"

Nodding, you motion for her to hand you the thick paper. Taking one glance at Adley, who nodded, you look back at the paper to fine they're One Direction tickets. You jump to your feet in excitement. " Oh my, God!"

In a instant Adley was by your side, jumping up and down with you. You start to fangirl, probably making your neighbors groan and complain, but you couldn't care less. You were going to see One Direction! Excitement flooded your veins. Only stopping to look at the tickets, which where front row and backstage.

" These must have cost you a fortune!" You gush.

Adley flipped her shortish hair, " Anything for 1D," then her excitement washed away, " Even if that means going broke."

You laugh slightly, not knowing what to do. " I can pay you for mine."

You wanted her to say no. You were a broke dropout, working at a coffee shop for a living. She was in school, and with money from her scholarship she got to pocket the money she made from the cafe. You couldn't help but feel a tad bit jealous of her, despite everything that has landed you here was your own doing.

" No, it's fine. You don't have to pay me back. Consider it a early Christmas gift." She said, trying to insure you.

You bite the tip of your tongue, wondering how to repay her with her gift. But nodding nonetheless, you thank her and excuse yourself to go shower, " Can you make Mac and Cheese?"

Your friend nods and you walk to the bathroom.

After washing the sweat and grime off from the day I walk into the kitchen to see Adley on the counter with a bowl of Mac and Cheese. " I still cannot believe you got those tickets!"

" Me, neither!" She started gushing while you tuned her out and scooped out some food.

" Y/N," Hearing your name was the only thing in her tumble of words that made you listen, " Are you excited?"

" Yeah!" You say and shovel a spoonful into your mouth. " I just hope I can get off work."

Adley sighs, " When are you going to quit that job?"
