Chapter 5 "A Party to Remember"

Rose's POV

I take a look in the mirror to check out my apprentice. I stand in my favorite purple tank-top, denim shorts, paired of course with my Converse. It is summer after all and I'm a simple girl so left my light brown hair curled as it was for graduation. Feeling ready I text Julia telling her that I'm on my way to her house.

I walk up to the beautiful home of my best friend. Not even making it to the door before she runs out of the house and tackles me to the ground.

Grunting, I push her off. " Damn it Juls, Really?"

She smiles, stands up offering me a hand. "Sorry Rose, you know I get excited"

I take her hand stand as well, walking to my car. "Yeah well, come on we don't wanna be late!". Again I'm tackled but this time from behind.

"OH MY GOD ROOOOSE! What the hell dude?! When did you get this" Motioning to my new car.

"Oh I completely forgot to tell you about it! My mom and grandparents gave it to me after graduation. Now hurry up I swear you're just like my mother always late...." 

Finally we hop in the car and head to the house party. 

On the drive there I'm all smiles, listening to our favorite music while singing along. But even with the distraction of Julia's constant talking and singing, my mind continues to wonder to a pair of beautiful blue eyes. God I'm so dumb I don't even know her name... 

"Rose you just missed the turn!". Julia pulls me out of my thoughts. I immediately flip a u-turn and make the correct turn.

"Sorry Juls I just can't get my mind off of this girl I ran into before graduation" I say taking a breath.

"Awwe my little Rosie is growing up all in 'Love at first sight'' She says using air quotes.

I shake my head at her smiling and parking the car. "Oh shut up you've been in love with 'Mr. Fuck You man" up there for four years and you haven't done shit.."

Mr. Fuck you man would be Liam Blackman the richest kid in our school and the host of the party tonight. 

"Fine I'll talk to him tonight." She says with a challenging smile. "Buut you have to talk to a girl tonight" 

Thinking about it for second I no my head in agreement. "Alright deal."

We finally get out of the car and walk up to the monster mansion of a home.

As soon as the double doors to the home open music and smell of weed and alcohol pour out. I take a step inside with Julia in front of me.  

"Hey dude lets get drinks first!" I pull Julia over to the drink table. Pouring us shots of tequila. We took them.

"Juls you drink as much as you want, I'm gonna stay relatively not fucked up" 

"That's fine I'm gonna go find Liam!" She says giggling and walking away. Leave it to Julia to be a straight edge until the last day of high school. 

I turn around to fix myself a drink I bump someone and have a cold liquid go down my shirt.

"Aw shit I'm so sorry I wasn't looking"  Even with my head down I know right away that the owner of the drink has beautiful blue eyes and black hair. This night is gonna be interesting
