I changed Kaden's last name because I wasn't happy with it :)

Thursday"Come on Livia! You got this!" I hear Violet yell next to me as I arm wrestle Evan on the school cafeteria table. There's a whole crowd of people gathered around our table as I arm wrestle half the boys in our school. I strain my arm against Evans and use my other hand to snap my fingers in front of his face. He looks at me in confusion but I just smile and wink before using all my strength to slam his arm against the table. I whoop in victory as everyone around our table cheers and some people clap me on the back.
I smirk at him as he just shakes his head, "I'll get you next time," he says and I laugh.
"It's always good to set goals, even if you'll never achieve them!" I taunt.
He just rolls his eye at that.
You're probably wondering how I got here... truth be told I got into Kaden's car this morning, went to my classes like a good girl and then I went to lunch... that's where all hell broke loose and these events came to pass.
I was arguing with Kaden at lunch, you know the usual. Then Chase joined in and took Kaden's side so I challenged him to an arm wrestle as any normal person would...
So after I beat him a couple of boys from a different table decided to try their luck and lost. So basically I'm undefeated now and yes, my arm is starting to hurt.
I turn to look at Kaden who is just watching me celebrate with a small smirk on his face. I raise my eyebrows at him with a grin on my face.
He stands up and takes a step closer to me, leaning in to whisper into my ear. My whole body freezes as I realize how close he is, I can feel his breath on my neck and the smile falls from my face quickly. I don't think anyone even notices how close we are as they continue laughing and cheering.
"You know, I could beat you easily," he whispers and I shiver. He backs away with a smirk on his face as I stand there with a starstruck look on my face.
Come on Livia! You can't let him know he affects you like this!
For once I agree with my inner self. So I pull myself together and grab the front of his shirt to pull him back. I lean close and whisper with a smirk, "I'd like to see you try Morales," I release his shirt and step back.
I turn away from him with and by accidentally lock eyes with Evan who is glaring at me.
Wait... why is he glaring at me?
Whatever the reason is he doesn't seem to want to talk about it as he turns and walks towards the hallways without saying a word. I watch on in confusion until he's completely out of sight. I turn back to Kaden to find out that he has also disappeared.
I shake my head, what is it with these boys disappearing just like that? Weird...
Suddenly the bell echos through the cafeteria and most students groan before grabbing their bags and heading to their last class. I notice Chase is still sitting at our usual table so I head over to sit down in the seat across from him.
"That was quite a performance," Chase chuckles and I shrug.
"What can I say? You guys bring out my competitive side," I grin.
"I think that's just you Livia," Chase smiles but it doesn't quite reach his eyes like it normally does.
I frown at that, is there something wrong? I don't want to ask and seem nosy but I also don't want to not ask and seem insensitive, what do I do? I'm not used to caring about anybody but Violet and I don't think eating a whole tub of ice cream and crying works for boys but hey, I could be wrong, no judgment here.
