After It All

Dinner date!

Before we start the chapter, I just wanna say that the majority of this book will mostly be Hardin's POV, in my opinion I think it's easier to write in his point of view. Okay enjoy the chapter!
Hardin's POV

After what seems like hours Tessa finally is ready. She is wearing a long red dress with her half of her hair pulled back and only a little makeup on, she is fucking perfect. I'm a lucky bastard

"You look beautiful baby" I kiss her forehead

"You don't look too bad yourself Mr. Scott" she laughs

"Mr. Scott huh" I smirk at her

She looks at me before saying

"Well we better get going or we'll never make it out of here"

I laugh and we walk out the door

On the car ride to the restaurant Tessa sings to every single song on the radio

"If you don't stop singing I think my ears will burn" I tease her

"Oh shut up" she nudges me with her shoulder and turns the music up the louder just to mess with me and I laugh shaking my head at just how adorable she is

We arrive at the restaurant and after a couple minutes of waiting the waiter finally shows us to our table. We get our drinks, a soda for me and champagne for Tessa, I'm really trying to cut off drinking and plus I'm driving us home.

"This place is so fancy Hardin, you didn't have to do this" she tells me

"Tessa it's nothing really, don't worry about it baby, let's just have a good time" I grab her hand from across the table

"Okay" she smiles at leans over and kisses me

Me and Tessa start talking about random things when the waiter comes and takes our order. I order a steak with corn on the cob and Tessa orders pasta with a side of Caesar salad

"Hardin?" She looks at me

I look up from the table and say

"Yeah baby"

"Did you mean it when you said you wanted to marry me and have children with me, I hate the bring this up now but my curiosity got the best of me" she laughs nervously waiting for my answer

"Of course I meant it, I really do wanna to marry you and kids, I wasn't just saying that to get you to come back to me Tessa" I smile at her and bring her hand up to my lips and kiss it

I can tell she sighs in relief, she probably thought I was gonna change my mind but not this time, I was such an idiot back then, I always thought marriage was overrated and I thought we would've turned out like my parents or he parents, but in reality Tessa and I are nothing like our parents, we are in love and we know we are meant for each other

Tessa tells me how she has been in contact with her mother way more often than ever before and she is engaged to this guy named David who has a seven year old daughter and how her dad is engaged to be married too, She tells me how her dad has been going to therapy and even went to rehab for about a year and how she is so proud of him for picking himself up from his dark place, It's so weird to hear cause last time I saw Richard was when he was still shoving needles into his arms and now he is engaged. Wow some people do change

"I'm also really happy for my mom, I've never seen her so affectionate with anyone before not even my dad, she seems like she is genuinely happy and I'm glad because she is way less bossy and judgmental with me" she smiles

"Yeah remember when she stormed in your dorm room at six am all those years ago when were talking and freaked out" I laugh at the memory

"Oh my gosh you remember that, those times feel so ancient" she looks up at me

"I remember everything baby" I smile at her and she has an equally wide smile on her face

The waiter brings up our food and Tessa literally moans when she takes the first bite

"Is it good?" I laugh

"Yes, it's so good" she laughs grabbing the napkin

After dinner we go back to the car and I open the passenger door for her and gives me a quiet thank you before getting in the car, Tessa and I talk the whole ride back to the hotel with my hand on her thigh

"God I am exhausted" she says throwing her purse on the floor

We get ready for bed and I give Tessa my shirt and she thanks me. We get in bed and I play with Tessa's hair for a couple minutes before asking

"Baby?" She looks up at me

"Yes" she smiles slightly

"We can't keep staying in this hotel, so I was thinking let's move in together, like get an apartment" she quickly sits up and looks at me

"Hardin we just got back together though, don't you think it's too soon?" She asks

"Yeah I guess but Tessa do you really want to live in a hotel forever?" I ask

"No, I guess moving in together wouldn't be so bad I mean we kind of already are" she says

"So that's a yes" I ask with hopeful eyes

"Yes I'll move in with you" she laughs

I lift her by the hips and she gently falls back onto the bed and I kiss her hard

"God I love you so much baby" I tell her meaning every single word

"I love you Hardin" she smiles softly at me
