Hardin or Zed?

Hardin POV

She turns around to face me and she is mad, furious, she stands there and glares at me and I wait here impatiently for her to scream at me.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU" she yells at me

"Tessa I know this is a lot for you right now and I'm sorry for that but there is still something between us, you still love me like I still love you after all this time, the love we have for each other is never gonna go away, we were meant to be together Tessa and you know it but you just don't want to believe it" I tell her

"Hardin I'm engaged, i was gonna get married and now I'm pretty sure he hates me, you ruin everything" she tries to keep her voice down to now have an audience

"I- I have to go find Zed" she stutters

"Let me drive you" she glares at me but she doesn't argue

We don't take the time to say bye to anyone but who gives a fuck, it's just a damn party. We get in the car and she tells me where she lives, the whole car ride was silent other than her telling "turn right" or "turn down this road". She won't even look at me and the silence is killing me.

We finally arrive to her apartment after what seems like hours later but really it was just a ten minute drive. She gets out of the car and slams the door, I get out after her and run to follow her, we walk in the building and get in the elevator making our way up to her floor, when we get to her door we walk in and the first thing we see is Zed sitting on the couch with a huge bottle of vodka in his hand.

"Zed?" Tessa asks softly

"What the fuck is he doing here" Zed harshly says to Tessa glaring directly at me

"He drove me home since you left" her voice is so soft

I stand here not knowing what to do or say

"So first I catch your tongue down his throat on the bathroom counter and now he is in my fucking house, real classy Tessa" Zed tells her

"Zed I'm sorry, I never meant for this to happen" Tessa cries

"WELL IT DID TESSA, YOU FUCKING CHEATED ON ME WITH YOUR EX BOYFRIEND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MAKES YOU, IT MAKES YOU A FUCKING SLUT. he screams at her and that's when I step in

"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE TALK TO HER LIKE THAT YOU PIECE OF SHIT" I scream in his face

"WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO HARDIN, HIT ME? GO AHEAD I'D LOVE TO SEE YOU TRY" he scream back at me with a smirk on his face, if he wants to fight I'll gladly beat his ass

He takes a swing at me but misses, he is already fucking drunk, i push him back and he punches my nose and I hear Tessa screaming and crying for us to stop but I'm full of adrenaline and all I see is red, all of the sudden Tessa jumps between us and Zed pushes her back making her head hit the wall, I immediately stop and rush over to her.

"oh my god Tessa I'm so sorry" he tried coming towards her but I stop him

"DON'T FUCKING COME NEAR HER" I scream at him furiously

I look down at Tessa and she whispers to me still crying

"I need to get out of here" she gets up off the ground and walks down the hall I quickly follow after her leaving fucking Zed standing there alone

"Tessa are you okay" I frantically ask as I see her getting a suit case from the closet

"Does it look like I'm okay" she snaps at me, I'm such a dumbass

I walk over to her and kiss her forehead softly, she doesn't try to push me away, she must be so exhausted

"Where are you gonna go" I ask her

"A hotel or something for tonight, I can't stay here" she says trying not to start crying again.

She finishes packing all of her stuff and we walk out of the bedroom and into the living room.

"Your seriously leaving with him Tessa" he scoffs

"well have fun Tessa cause he is just gonna leave you again and your gonna come crying back to me, like always" he laughs

I wanna say something to this asshole but for Tessa's sake I keep my mouth shut.

"You know what Zed, fuck you" she throws her engagement ring at him before we walk out the door. We get in the car and she starts to break down, I quickly reach over and place my hand on her cheek and I'm surprised when she leans into my palm.

"Tessa it's okay" I try to comfort her

"Can we please just go" she says

"Yeah of course" I start the car and drive to the nearest hotel

After we get to our room I look over at Tessa and I can tell she is exhausted

"Tessa can we talk, I know your tired but we need to talk about this" i gesture between me and her

"Yes, but can it wait until after I shower" she asks

"Yeah for sure" I say quickly

After ten minutes Tessa comes out of the bathroom already dressed in her pajamas.

She looks at me and walks across the room to sit on the bed with me

"Are you okay" I ask her

"I will be" she says flatly

"Hardin can I ask you something" she says

"Anything" I say back

"Did you come back to Washington only because I was engaged to Zed" she asks while looking into my eyes

"It's part of the reason I came back but Tessa I love you so much and I never stopped, and I know you love me too Tessa, I know you do" I softly say to her

"Hardin, I know that tonight wasn't just your fault, even though I really want to blame you but I made that decision to kiss you back" she says

"Tessa look at me" she looks into my eyes

"I'm so so so sorry for leaving you three years ago, it was the biggest mistake of my entire life and god I wish I can take it back and I will be sorry until the day that I die, but I still believe in us Tessa and I'm so madly in love you and I really do want a life with you" I look into her eye and she is tearing up.

Instead of responding she takes me completely by surprise when she grabs my neck and presses her lips to mine, her fingers rake through my hair and my hands immediately find her hips, I break the kiss and she whimpers from the loss of my lips on hers.

"Are you sure about this Tessa" I ask her

"Yesss Hardin I want this, I need this right now, I love you Hardin" she says and my heart literally fucking leaps.

We frantically undress each other and I lift her up and she quickly wraps her legs around me.
