Akagi's POV
My name is Izumi Akagi. I attend Granger Junior High School and I had always wanted to become a hero ever since I was a kid. But unfortunately, it's hard to find hope for that dream.
You see, I wasn't born like the rest my classmates were. Sure I had a quirk and looked like your average teenage girl, but unlike them, I was born with a syndrome called Autism Syndrome. I act differently than my classmates and rarely talk to anyone. I also get really sensitive to loud noises.
Because of my syndrome, I never had any friends and it's very easy for me to get bullied. I get bullied a lot by so many people including my elementary school bully, Neito Monoma.
Ever since we were kids, Monoma would laugh at me because I wanted to become a hero. Told me that there is no such thing as a hero with autism and that I wouldn't even survive as a hero and sometimes, he would even use his quirk on me. Basically, his quirk allowed him to copy any quirk if he touches someone, so I had to deal with him copying my quirk every single day throughout the years.
But even if I get bullied at school, I would always feel safe at home. My parents aren't pro heroes, but they always support me to become one, most specifically my dad. He would always tell me that I could be the first Autistic Hero and inspire other kids who have autism like me to be a hero.
As a kid, I had a huge admiration for my favorite pro hero. Now most people would prefer All Might as their admirer, but not me. Sure, All Might is the Number 1 Hero and he does inspire me a lot, but nothing compares to my admiration for my favorite hero, Ingenium. He is the reason why I want to become a hero. He doesn't have autism like me, but he inspires me a lot. I even met him in person once, but I will get to that later.
My mom also supports me to become a hero and said that once I did, she, my dad, and my younger siblings will be there to cheer me on. I have two younger siblings and both of them are 3 year old twins, Kei and Airi. So even if I have a bad day at school, they will always be there for me.
But then one day everything change.
Third person POV
It was a normal day for everyone in Granger Junior High School and everyone was getting ready to plan for the future. Most of the students were planing to go to UA, including Akagi.
"Attention students," the teacher called. "Since we are almost at the end of the school year, I hope you have already planned what you are gonna do for your future!"
Everyone got super excited and started to show off their quirks while Akagi on the other hand was silent and drawing on her sketchbook. "Alright class, settle down," the teacher said. "Now I looked at your reports for your future and to my shock, two people are planning to go to UA!"
Everyone was shocked. "I see Monoma wants to try out for UA," the teacher called. "And you have awesome scores on your exams."
"Of course I do," Monoma said with pride. "With my quirk, I can blow everyone's minds off their heads! UA would want to accept my amazing intelligence and skills unlike the rest of this school, and no one else is going to stop me from getting there!" But just as he finished, the said something shocking. "Well would you look at that! Akagi wants to go to UA too."
Akagi stopped drawing once her name was announced to her class. Everyone started to stare at her silently. But in a second, that silence turned into laughter. "Seriously! Akagi in UA! You're kidding right!?" someone said. "Yeah! She won't even survive the physical exams cause she will be crying and covering her ears!" another person said.
