Sighing I sit up and turn my alarm off. I stair at the dark room for a bit longer before getting up and putting on a black hoodie and black skinny jeans and converse. I walk downstairs with my bag to see my aunt scrambling to get ready. "I should have left five minutes ago!" My aunt half yelled, I of course helped her out since I didn't need to leave till an half hour. After she left it came increasingly quiet. To much for me to bare with so I left early.

When I got there I sat on the front steps and watch as cars drove by. Soon a green truck pulled up. I looked at my phone so I wouldn't come off as creepy. Soon I heard the voice of a girl and quick food steps heading in my direction. Looking up I see someone with black hair with dyed pink ends. In all honesty she looks pretty cool. "Hey, your the new kid right? Hana?" I outwardly cringed at the name. "It's Kai..." I said sourly. "Oh! Sorry. That's what everyone is calling you." She said. Great. Already the talk of the school. There goes my plan of never getting noticed. We talked for a bit. Well. More like she talked and I just listened. School started pretty soon, it's actually surprising at how fast people forget about a dead name since most people's called me kai or didn't talk to or about me anymore.

It was lunch time, I was heading outside to my usual spot when Miko flagged me down. Confused I walk over to see what she wanted. "Hey, Kai! Wanna sit with me and my friends?" I was a little nervous to at first but agreed. Sitting down we started talking about anime since she seen me start to sketch. Soon a short boy and a taller one walked over and sat down. "Who's this, Miko?" The taller one asked. "This is Kai. The knew kid people kept trash talking about." Now I'm curious as to what people said about me. Am I gonna say something? No. Should I? Yes. Lunch went on smoothly and I got along well with Jack and Raf.

It's the end of the day, my aunt said she'd pick me up from school instead of having me walk to the hospital like I was doing. So I stayed inside as long as I could. Miko said she was waiting for a friend to pick her up, so we talked. Till Vince came and almost started a fight with us. Luckily the principal was out of the office and witnessed what was going on and stopped it pretty quick. But soon enough after he left we had to go outside and wait. I was okay with this but Miko started complaining about the heat.

Miko left and my aunt has yet to come. It's dusk now. Getting fed up I just walk home. She probably had to deal with a patients and forgot.
