As soon as the bell rang, I was out of class, running through the crowd of students, hoping they won't find me.

When I made it to Jaxon's school he was sitting outside, on a bench waiting for me. "Hey, Jax you ready to go?" I asked. He jumped from the bench as soon as he saw me and clung to my leg.

When he let go, he looked up at me with his big brown eyes that both of inherited from our mother. "Yes, can we go get ice cream now?" He asked, giving me his best puppy dog eyes. I nodded with a small smile, as he grabbed hold of my hand and we quickly made our way to the nearest ice cream shop.

We entered the ice cream shop and Jaxon headed straight to the counter, letting go of my hand.

"Hi, what would you like buddy?" A woman with a black ponytail, behind the counter asked, she looked to be in her late thirties.

"Can I please get the green one with the chocolate in it?" Jaxon asked, politely. I laughed slightly, and came to stand next to him.
"Hi, can we please get a small mint choc chip ice cream and a small cookies and cream?" I asked.

"Sure." She said giving me a smile then looking in between Jax and I. Her smile slowly turned into a sympathetic smile as she looked. She hand us our ice creams and I paid, before I heard whispers, coming from the right side of us.
I cautiously looked, and saw Holly, Mason, Michael and Myles with the rest of Holly's minions.

"Hey, isn't that the nerd?" Holly asked, attempting to whisper but failing miserably.
"Yes." I heard Michael answer.

I went to turn and walk out as quick as I could without looking suspicious, until the cashier gently grabbed my arm. "Sweetie I know things can be rough." She said looking between Jax and I again. "But they will get better." She said. She must have seen the look of confusion on my face. "Having a child at such a young age is terrifying, but I can see you have raised this child amazingly." She said nodding towards Jax.

"Oh, no umm, he's not—" I started but she cut me off.
"No, it's alright I get it. But there's nothing to worry about. You will be alright, both of you." She said rubbing my arm gently.
"Omg, does the nerd have a child?" Holly asked, incredulously. I sigh.

"No, Miss he isn't—" I start again but she still cuts me off.
"It's okay. Now I wish you all the best of luck." She says.

"I can't believe the nerd has a kid." Michael whispered. I sigh again, frustrated. We do have the same dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. I forced a smile. "Thank you." I said, picking Jax up with one arm the other holding my ice cream.
"Never expected that." Myles said. I glanced over at their table. All of them didn't even try to hide that they were staring.
I could see a bruise on Masons jaw. Once we were half way home, I put Jax down and started to eat my ice cream.
We speed walked the rest of the way home. When we got home, thankfully Charles and Frances weren't home.

"Jax, go up to my room buddy and lock the door." I said, and he scurried off upstairs and into my room. I started to prepare dinner while cleaning, then I heard the door slam open.

I was in the middle of washing the dishes, and they weren't finished. Loud footsteps came to a stop right behind me. I grabbed a tea towel and dried my hands.

"I told you to have the place clean." Charles screamed, I flinched away.

"Well I guess I better be going to see your brother." He said, amusement clear in his voice.

"No." I screamed. "Please, he's just a kid." I pleaded quietly, Charles was already halfway up the staircase, I chased after him. Reaching the door before him I stood in front of it, blocking his path.
