Of all the things I expected from my mom, this was by far not what I imagined. Of course not much coming from a drug addict who gives no shits about what you do, as long as you don't cause any trouble. I guess the final straw was being pregnant. Me and my ex-boyfriend had plans, we'd save up and I'd be able to get out of the hell hole I called a home for the last 18 years. That ended when I caught him fucking my once best friend of 10 years. So fucking cliche.

"Try not to cause him too much trouble. See ya later kid." And with that, my mother left me in the dust at my uncle Charlies house. With just one obnoxiously large duffel be of my clothes and other items I treasured. I gave her the finger.

I probably could make a run for it. I had been able to save up a few hundred bucks. I know Charlie would get tired of dealing with my problems.

Before I could make a run for it, out comes the man of the hour. "What happened this time?" As he took a swig of his beer I replied, "I got pregnant." And shrugged. His eyes widened as he choked on his beer. Probably should've waited until he was done. Whoops.

He stared at me for a minute, probably wondering if I was messing around. I wish i was. Hell, I didn't know anything about babies, or about being a mother. I didn't exactly have the best example growing up.

After the minute of him think was up. He sighed, "Come here kiddo." I wasn't a crier at all.  Not when my mom first tried to sell me for her next fix, or when my ex-boyfriend cheated on me. Maybe it was my hormones, but uncle Charlie was always the few people to make me emotional. Especially his hugs, there was always the lingering smell of coffee, beer and peppermint. Probably not the best combination, but it felt like home.

"Are you, uh, keeping the baby?" I already knew the answer. I wasn't going to give up my own flesh and blood. "Yeah, looks like you're a grandpa now, uncle." He cleared as his eyes started to water. I always thought of him as father since I didn't have one. Not that I care, he left my mom for his secretary. Thats what she always told me, I didn't need him.

He bent down, kissed my forehead, and picked up my duffer bag, "You're not supposed to be carrying heavy stuff, let's get you inside. I'll order pizza, and we can watch the game." I smiled. "Sounds perfect."

After a couple of hours of settling into my room, and hanging out with my uncle. I decided to call in for the night. Not before thanking Charlie again. "You and that little one are family. I wouldn't kick you out." And dammit I balled like a baby when I plopped in my bed.

With swollen eyes and a stuffy nose, I changed into pajamas, before looking into the mirror. At nine weeks there was already a mediumish sized pudge. The morning sickness was absolutely horrible and all I wanted to do was eat. I looked down and smiled, "You're gonna make me fat."

As I laid down and drifted off into sleep I couldn't help but think, where the hell was Bella?
