The Weeping Willow was the centre of their town.
No one knew where its magical properties had come from.
There were many legends into the history of the tree and where it rooted from but none had been confirmed.
A hundred years ago the Weeping Willow had been planted and the leaves were green and didn't glimmer.
Fifty years had passed and a couple who were madly in love with each other made love for the first time under the dying tree.
The couple then got in their car and headed for home, but they never made it to their destination.
They were run over by a semi-trailer and were killed.
The next night the tree had changed.
The leaves turned gold and white and were glimmering.
Many believe that the spirits of the couple now lay with the tree and continue to keep it alive, like their love, which people believe will never die.
This legend was Julia's favourite. She appreciated the tree's beauty and the stories that came from it.
Others feared it, because it was different and no one knew a lot about it.
Julia often felt like the Weeping Willow – different.
