Harriet smiled happily while she talked with Bridget. It was always a good day when they were working on the show. Usually, living on the streets got pretty sad and lonely. But when she got the part of one of the two alien kids, Hat Kid, she had found a way to live in the basement. Harriet made it work.
"So, how's everything going with you?" Bridget asked, having Harriet need to think of an excuse quickly. Yeah, sometimes keeping the secret was a pain.
Harriet thought of something quickly and said, "Pretty good. My Dad just got a bit of a raise. Mom's baking is now edible." She already had been lying about this family, and had been keeping it up for a while.
Bridget giggled a bit, "Finally. I'm terrified of her meals just by hearing about them. Must be a pain to actually eat her cooking."
"Yeah," Harriet said, "I still wonder how I'm not dead yet." They both laughed joyfully. Harriet always imagined this make-believe family when she was feeling lonely so it was easy to lie to everybody and not get caught.
"Oh, hey, Harriet, has she ever thought of making some of her...masterpieces for us?" Bridget asked, raising an eyebrow. Harriet already had envisioned this predicament with her imagination mom and it wasn't pretty.
"Yup," Harriet said, sounding a bit terrified, "I have been able to keep her from doing so. I have taken so many bullets for you."
"I owe you a lot then," Bridget said smiling. Harriet cringed at that statement and thought, No you don't Bridget.
"Nah, don't sweat it," Harriet said shrugging. She then elbowed her friend with a smirk, "Only thing you truly owe me is from that puppet fiasco with the Moon Penguins."
"I didn't think we'd lose all of them!" Bridget exclaimed, causing Harriet to laugh. That was when Miranda came over, fake mustache off. It seemed she didn't lose it like usual though, because her expression was curious not worried.
"What're you two talking about?" Miranda asked, pretty curious.
"Family," Bridget said, "Apparently Harriet's mom almost made some of her infamous meals."
"Cupcakes," Harriet said. Miranda's expression turned from curious to terrified in a matter of seconds.
"No," she whispered fearfully.
"Almost," Harrier said, "I convinced her not to." Miranda gave a sigh of relief when she heard that. The three girls continued to talk for a bit until Miranda had to go, needing to put on her mustache. Bridget left too, also needing her bow. Harriet went to grab her hat too.
Harriet quickly sneaked down to the little area she made her room. It was a room none of the adults went in, it was going to be a dressing room but moved the location. Apparently they didn't get rid of it. Harriet was surprised but didn't quesition it. At least she had a room nobody cared about. She was safe. Living in the basement of the theater.

Ok so this chapter was more a practice for me to get an idea on how I'm writing Harriet(Hat Kid), Bridget(Bow Kid), and Miranda(Mu/Mustache Girl). I honestly don't like how I ended it but it's better then the other endings I was trying.Anyways, till next time!
[Also please no requests for the time being, I wanna try and get used to writing the characters first-)
