As the two students briskly walked down the sidewalk, the brash boy had slowed down to walk beside the still slightly fatigued girl. Murasaki looked at Bakugou out of the corner of her eye and smiled to herself. This did not go unnoticed by him.

"What?" He asked rather harshly.

"Oh, nothing. Nothing at all," she teased. "I've never seen him walk side by side with someone before." She continued to smile.

"Tch- whatever." He rolled his eyes and removed his hands from his pockets, draping his arms lazily at his sides. "You're not leading me to some dark alley are you? I have no idea where you live."

She giggled and nudged his arm with her own. "No, silly. I'm taking you to a bright alley." She watched him carefully, trying not to laugh.

He stopped dead in his tracks. He chuckled lightly, having almost suppressed the reaction caused by her quirk. "You mother fu-" He stopped midsentence when he saw (Y/N) doubled over in silent laughter. "Hey, shouldn't you be resting your weird quirk for a while, you dumbass?" His eyes were stern, but she could tell he cared.

"Heh..you're right. My apologies, Bakugou-kun." She smiled bright at him as he joined her in walking once more.

He scoffed again and eyed her protectively, standing slightly behind her so they wouldn't be jumped.

About ten minutes of almost entirely silent walking later, the sky was completely dark. As they approached the appartment (Y/N) shared with her mom, the only thing lighting up the path was a lamp by the door.

She mumbled to herself, "Mom's probably worried sick.." She quickened her pace, a slightly hesitant Katsuki following closely behind her.

"I'm sure Recovery Girl called her." His calm, confident tone reassured her.

"Yeah, you're right. Thanks." She turned slightly to smile at him. When she turned back she was at the door. She quickly slammed her key in the lock and nearly threw the door open, shouting for her mom. "Mom! I'm home safe!" She looked at Bakugou, "You can come in for a bit if you want. Let me make you some tea!" She did not give him a chance to respond before grabbing his wrist and pulling him inside so she could close the door.

"Oh honey! Are you okay?! The school said-" She stopped midsentence when she say the boy standing there awkwardly.

"Oh, Mom, this is Ba-"

"Bakugou Katsuki. I know. I watched you both in the sports festival. This... student... won." She eyed him carefully, but he did not look to threatening, so she did not say anything else.

"Mom, stop. He walked me home 'cause it was dark. I'm going to make him some tea." She popped her shoes off and headed to the kitchen, leaving the two alone in the hall.

"I'm actually the reason she fainted in the first place. Sorry for making you worry about you daughter..." He looked at his feet as he forced his tone to sound natural. He hated apologizing, but he had no choice.

"Now now, just come sit for tea and we can all talk about what happened. Okay?" She smiled at him for the first time and gestured for him to follow her to the kitchen. He slipped off his shoes and followed obediently.

"So I used my quirk to help Midoriya-kun." (Y/N) told her mom the story, making sure to leave out the part about Bakugou being the one who bullied them.

"Wow, honey. And you were able to make this person walk away with just your words?" The young girl nodded. "I see. You're stronger than you let on, (Y/N). I'm proud of you." Mrs. (L/N) smiled warmly at her daughter.

"(L/N)-San, that isn't the whole story." Bakugou had been watching the two with a curious and thoughtful expression. When Mura-chan did not mention his name, he was confused. "You shouldn't lie to your mother, Giggles. (L/N)-San, I'm the reason she had to use her quirk so recklessly. I was-" He stopped. "I have no reason to explain myself to these people. Why the fuck am I admitting this?! Shit... Maybe she won't push the subject."

"You were the one who yelled at and threatened two innocent students? You, who is training to become a hero?" She glared daggers at him while he stared frustratedly at his half empty teacup. "Well, at least you admit your wrongs. Thank you for telling me that, Bakugou-Kun. That takes courage." He looked up to see his host smiling at him.

"Tch- whatever." He rolled his eyes to mask his relief, earning a small chuckle from (M/N) and a long exhale from (Y/N).

"A-alright now. Don'chu (A/N: don't you) think it's getting late? B-bakugou-Kun should head home before his m-mother worries! Thank you so much for walking me home! I'll see you at school after your internships, Bakugou!"

Murasaki was getting nervous, so she hurried her escort out the door. She offered him a biscuit for the trip, which he took with a grateful frown and patted her on the head like he has seen in some cute anime he saw his mom watching. He smirked when her cheeks flushed, gave a simple nod farewell, and left without a word.

(Y/N) leaned her back against the door, face burning. "What the hell was that?! I've never seen him act like this..! I hope he's alright..."
