"Aaaaaah!!" A loud screech could be heard throughout the dorms. (Y/N) quickly put her hand over her pink-haird friend's mouth.

"Ssshhhh!" She shushed Ashido through little bursts of giggles. "Mina-chan! You're going to worry everyone in the dorms!"

"Hehe sorry, Murasaki. I just can't believe he finally asked you out! And to my party! I feel so honored!" She giggled, earning giggles from the rest of the girls in her dorm.

"I know I know, it's been a long time coming, but I'm glad he took his time. It was the sweetest thing ever!"

Uraraka giggled as well. "You should have seen them! It was magical in a very awkward kind of way." She grinned at the slightly embarrassed (Y/N).

-flash back to the previous day-

Izuku had been rehearsing his line in his head all day. He paced around his room until he could not stand it any longer and headed down to the common area for a change of scenery. He had been trying to ask (Y/N) out for weeks, but whenever he saw her he lost his nerve. But now he has a plan and a deadline. Ashido-san has organized a party within the 1-A dorm to celebrate the new year. The thing is, the party is in two days and he still needs to ask her to go with him. Hopefully he will finally be able to talk to her today. His thoughts were interrupted when the elevator doors opened and the smell of food wafted in, filling Izuku's nose and making his mouth water. He hummed with intrigue and went to the kitchen instinctively. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw who was sitting at the table.

Ochako turned her head. "Oh hi, Deku-kun! What brings you down to the kitchen? I thought you'd be studying or training." She tilted her head curiously with a friendly smile on her face.

The purple-eyed girl laughed a little. "Even the great Midoriya Izuku has to eat, Ochako-San." (Y/N) grinned up at Izuku from the table.

"A-actually I was just w-wandering around.. I wasn't expecting to see you here, (Y/N)-San. S-sorry for intruding!" He bowed to the girls apologetically.

The purple highlights in her hair reflected in the light as she chuckled at the green floof before her. "You're not intruding, Izuku-kun! You can come sit with us if you want. The rice is just about ready to eat!" She smiled at her friend invitingly.

Ochako smiled to herself as she watched the two beam at each other. "Yeah, Deku-kun! Join us!"

He hesitated. "You sure it's ok?"

"Of course, Izuku!" (Y/N) dropped the 'kun' without thinking about it.

He smiled and slowly sat down beside the girl he has had a crush on for a few months now.

As (Y/N) got up to prepare three bowls of rice, Ochako leaned in and whispered to Izuku across the table. "So, when are you going to ask her out, hmm?" She smiled knowingly as his face went beet red and he averted his gaze. "Oh, so you've been thinking about it, eh? You know, the party-"

"Shh..!" He shushed her frantically, trying to force down his bright red blush. She chuckled and made the motion of zipping her grinning lips.

There was still a pink tint to Izuku's face when (Y/N) returned to the table with three bowls of rice, but, much to Izuku's relief, she barely noticed.

When they finished their rice, Uraraka stood up and took all the bowls to be washed, leaving Izuku and (Y/N) alone at the table. After a few moments of awkward silence, the green-haired boy was able to force his words out of his tight throat.

"S-So, (Y/N), d-do you have a- uhm... are you going- er... do you want to... uh... the party..?" As he struggled to get his thoughts in order, the girl beside him giggled.
