-Two Days Later-

"I honestly can't believe she chose you to go through all of her stuff if she ever passed away."

"I kinda feel weird being here knowing she isn't going to come back." I looked to Niall, who had come with me to help sort through things. Zayn had offered, but I wanted to talk to Niall about some things without any of the other boys around.

"I know how you feel. Hey, look over here!" Niall was holding out a small, leather bount notebook with a tie around it. I could tell that it had been her journal. I opened it and the first thing that slid out was a picture of her with Jake. They were sitting on a swing together. Her on his lap, he had his arms wrapped around her waste, and he was kissing her cheek. She took the picture with either her camera or her phone. They looked practically perfect together. I felt the tears well up in my eyes and Niall snatched the picture away from the, tearing it apart and throwing it into the fireplace where we had lit the fire when we walked in. The peices curled in the way that pictures do when you light them on fire. "What else is in there?"

"Niall, I-"

"What else is in the journal." His face was hard. I knew that he felt bad for picking the journal up in the first place.

"Well, it says more about everyday life. Lisa never had it hard. I mean look around." He and I both did, taking in the large, marble fire place, the high ceilings, the plush, white couches. Everything was so elegant. "There's nothing really in here I don't-" I was caught off guard by the mentioning of my name.

Dear Journal,

Today I took Sara in after she left Jake. It's about time. We had been seeing each other behind her back for at least 3 months, maybe even more than that. I honestly don't understand how she didn't figure it out.

She's so dumb sometimes. I wonder why I am even her friend sometimes.

love, Lisa

I looked up at Niall and he was smiling at me encouraging me to speak. "What a fucking bitch." I skipped a few more pages and before I knew it, I was staring at the last page. It was empty. I stuck it into the small bag that I had brought with me to keep. If I ever needed to use it against Jake, I now had proof that he and her had been together.

"Wow, i'm still in shock. You don't cuss that much." Niall was staring at me, wide eyed.

"I don't think I've ever been mad in front of you." I stood up and went back over to the chest that we had been going through. I dragged it over to where Niall and I had made ourselves confortable by the fire. I was starting to wonder why she had chosen me for this job, too. She hadn't even liked me.

"Well it was kind of adorable." He laughed as I reached over and slapped his arm.

"You're the weirdest guy I know."

"You're the weirdest girl I know."

"I'm practically the only girl that you know."

"Shut up, Sara." It was his turn to reach over and slap my arm, but he did it much softer. Good thing, too, because I could see the red mark I had left onto his arm. I started laughing at him and he rolled his eyes at me.

"Niall. I wanted to tell you that I figured out that you were trying to warn me about the whole Zayn thing. I know he harms himself." I looked down.

"And you're still here?"

"Of course, I lo- I like him." I started to blush and I looked around. "So what's next?"

He grinned at me, a knowing look spreading across his perfect face. "I guess we could go through this?" He asked, holding up a small box that sat in the corner of the chest.
