A/N: to start things off sorry the chapter is so short my stream kinda ran dry near the end and I had to find a way to end it. Next I have to toot my own horn ‘cause Golden Blue has been one of my most liked works and it kinda fills me with a mixture between pride and disappointment since other things I’ve done aren’t that liked, but never the less I enjoy you guys encouragement thanks a lot it makes me happy.

Ven’s POV...

We all sat at the table in an awkward silence with no one’s eyes daring to look somewhere other than their plate of food. Taking the chance I gave a tiny look over to Roxas who had sat across the table and what I thought was the second farthest place from Vanitas, with the first taken up by Sora. I glanced over to Vanitas who had a smug look on his face as he ate the pancakes I made.

“Ehem” I said tired of the silence, “As I recall we had something to discuss other than just how wonderful my cooking is from how loudly you guys eat” I added trying to lighten the mood. Vanitas scoffed in amusement while Roxas and Sora just glared up from their plates, since when did we take sides, I thought as I saw how separated the four of us were compared to how we -minus Vanitas- were just a day ago.

“Yeah” Roxas answered. “So Vanitas, care to explain why these people are asking if we’ve seen you before” he said sliding the business card we were given across the table. Vanitas nonchalantly picked up the card and looked at it.

“Oh these guys, the ones who shot me last night,” he tapped his injured shoulder, “why they’re looking for me is a personal matter and isn’t your place to ask, but I can say that talking to them is a bad idea especially for blondie over here” he answered motioning to me.

“My name isn’t blondie” I added before Roxas could press for another answer.

“And why is that” Roxas said looking over to me a worried glint in his eyes.

“I didn’t block a bullet for nothing, he was a witness who was profiled and will be hunted down depending on how bad they don’t want anyone to know about the situation, which I presume is high since they aimed for his head before I saved him” said Vanitas as he ripped up the card.

“You should’ve just bled on the streets we’d better off if he didn’t help you by putting himself in danger” hissed Sora giving Vanitas angry glare. Vanitas gave an animalistic growl flashing his fangs. Chills ran up my spine at his growl and everyone at the table stared at him astonished. Realizing his mistake Vanitas cleared his throat and took a deep breath.

“I helped him because he saved my life I couldn’t have forgiven myself if he bled to death because I ran away” I said. I looked over to Vanitas who had a surprised glint in his eyes, "besides, those guys didn't recognize me when I answered the door" I added.

“It doesn’t matter that they didn’t recognize you, they thought you were me. Remember we look almost exactly alike” Roxas said.

“So, why didn’t they recognize you as me instead” I asked confused.

“In all honesty, you looked a lot different last night than this morning, you looked more... um, how do I say you looked like a girl in the least insulting way as possible” said Vanitas. An angry blush spread across my face.

“I do not look like a girl!” I shouted. Roxas and Sora burst out in laughter and Vanitas tried his best to keep a straight face.

“And that stupid apron you wear makes it worse” chuckled Roxas clutching at his sides.

“It’s not funny” I said pouting.

“If it makes you feel better you looked like a cute girl” reassured Vanitas. My blush burned crimson and Sora and Roxas started laughing harder.

“That doesn’t help” I said crossing my arms. “I don’t even have boobs” I grumble in annoyance. Both Roxas and Sora tried their best to calm down tears peeping at the corner of their eyes from amusement. “Let me just clean off the table you guys can continue insulting me while I’m in the other room washing the dishes” I say as I collect our plates and walk into the kitchen. I grumbled under my breath as I saw the apron Aqua gave me saying I looked cool when I wore it. "Lies" I huffed as I scrubbed the syrup and eggs off the plates. "Stupid jerks, I look just as much as a guy as Roxas does" I growl. "Where would he get such a stupid thought anyway" I sigh as I open the cabinet to put the plates away. As the cabinet opened a white streak of fur launched at my face and I yelped falling back. In a matter of seconds the animal was pulled from my face and I was helped off the floor. The now identified cat--whom of which was restrained by the scruff in Vanitas' hands-- was releasing a mixture of cat and human noises that made my head swirl trying to listen.

"Are you okay Ven" asked Roxas.

"Fine, but that cat how did it get in here" I said looking at the white feline whom was rambling at Vanitas who seemed to understand its noises.

"She got into through the window" answered Vanitas as placed the cat on the counter. The cat hissed at Vanitas and stuck up her nose. Vanitas gave an irritated look, "but we can throw this stray out" he hissed back. I examined the white cat, her coat was silky and she looked well fed.

"This definitely isn't a stray she looks too well kept to live on the streets" I commented petting her on the head. She purred and I picked her up. "See perfectly tame" I say. Vanitas scoffed

"Whatever, I'm bored so I think I'll head back to sleep" he grumbled as he walked out the kitchen.

"Could you put those dishes away Roxas, thanks" I say following after Vanitas. "Wait! You can't go back to sleep we just ate breakfast" I argue as we walked up the stairs to my room.

"Then we can watch TV" he said walking to my room.

"Hey, could you tell me what the cat was telling you" I asked. Vanitas yawned as I opened my bedroom door.

"No" he said plopping on his sleeping bag with an exasperated sigh.

"Could you at least tell me her name" I said grabbing my TV remote and laying on the bed with the cat.

"She has no name" he said bluntly as he took the remote from me.

"Hmm, I'll name her then how about... Tenshi" the cat purred in agreement and I pet her in response.

"Ya know you really do act like a-" Vanitas' voice was cut off by a shrill ring that pierced my eardrums. My vision began to go blurry and the world began to spin. Hand gripped my shoulders and pulled me inwards but my mind went black before I could feel where I was being led.
