Yaena falls asleep on the sofa while watching the movie with us, and I decided to accompany her. I woke up from Yaena sleep talking. She keeps tossing and flinching around, mumbling and seems like she has a bad dream or a nightmare.
While I was observing her, her tears start to fall, and she's crying non-stop.
"Yaena." I tried to wake her up by calling her name while tapping on her shoulders. She pulls my hand and grabs it hard. "Oppa, don't go. I'm sorry." and continue to cry. I try waking her up again.
"Yaena-ah!" She finally wakes up, looking startled. "Oppa," she mumbled.
"It must have been a bad dream, huh, yaena?" I pulled her into a hug. She nods and keeps silent. Then she begins to hug me even tighter, and I caress her hair to comfort her.
"It feels good to be in your arms, Oppa."
She's cute. I pull out from the hug and kisses her forehead. "I'm always here for you, yaena. I won't go anywhere." She faces her head up and looks at me in the eyes. Those sad eyes break my heart. "Stop crying, yaena. It's just a dream, okay." I wipe those tears. The urge to kiss her lips is so bad. And saying "I like you" to her it's not the right time now...
"Oppa..." She said as she lay her head on my lap, looking at me upwards.
"Hmm?" Silence...
"I want to do well so badly."
"I know that yaena, I know you have been pushing yourself this whole time to do well, but do know that it takes time. Not every time you are going to do well. There will be ups and downs, of course. Not everyone is a perfect baby girl. Do know that it's okay to fail and fall. From there, you have to get back up and work even harder. That's how you learn, Yaena." I said while touching her soft and silky hair.
