Hello Readers!. I hope you like this book. This is the first chapter. Thanks for giving this book a chance. I assure you my story won't disappoint you.

To certain people highschool was the time of their lives with flourishing friendships, new beginnings, realistic opportunities and a bunch of memories that will allow them to grow and be a better person and ofcourse how could I forget" falling in love" the most exhilarating experience one encounters in his early life.

People wonder why it's called falling in love when falling implies collapsing and ultimately being shattered but someone who's gone through this intoxicating experience knows why.
Love is uncertainty, it's like falling in dark abyss not knowing what going to happen next.

It's pernicious when requited and catastrophic when unrequited thus here I am suffering through the effects of a detrimental disease called as unrequited love. I wonder....

" Quit the day dreaming Rhodes, Mr Wilson's noticed you are preoccupied with your thoughts and I dont think he'd hesitate to verbally harass you infront of the class" Chrystal mumbled in hushed tones

"Well who is a teacher's pet? Oh I know Chrystal here" I hushed back in a sarcastic tone

"Fuck you Scarlett" she glared at me whilst copying the notes simultaneously. Guess multitasking is a perk that comes with being a nerd.

" Shushh. That's not how a lady behaves Scarlett "  she chastised me while shaking her head back and forth as of mocking her overbearing mother.
Chrystal came from a strict household. She has austere parents that who were hell bent on attaining standards of perfection that did not exist.

" I'll let you know that I am a lady filled to the brim with class. You uncultured swine " I exclaimed as if repulsed by the idea whilst  glancing at Mr Wilson who was lost in his own mathematical universe oblivious to our chatter.

"Yeah I can see that" snorted Chrystal.

I was about to reply when I was cut off by some insolent brat behind me.

"Could you guys just shut up some people come here to study"  December I guess didnot appreciate our lovely talks but did I care? NO. I was about continue but April here had broken the rhythm of my beautiful comebacks or more precisely I forget what I was about to say.

My thoughts were interrupted by the ringing bell. I watched Mr Wilson exiting the room  thanking the stars that he did not point out my lack of attention today. As I glanced beside me I was blessed with the view of  Chrystal laying her head on the desk with a with her tongue out , playing dead.
I guess we're having Pizza for the funeral.

"This is it Scarlett, physics is gonna be the death of me! "  mumbled the corpse.

I raised my eyes in a mock surprise with my hands raised towards the ceiling.
" God bless this soul. A demon has possessed this corpse. It talks!"

"Come on! Enough of your fanatics. We have to meet Emma at her locker than head to lunch. She would be waiting for us! You fat oaf "

"
I knew Chrystal didn't mean it we caleed each other such names all the time but her calling me fat struck my heart. It wasn't something new, I was practically immune to it now or as I would like to think so. It was a reality that I had long ago accepted, I was obese, fat, overweight or whatever you would like to call me. Standing at 137 pounds I had been subjected to bullying a long time ago if it wasn't for Chrystal and Emma I would still be the obese girl no one wanted to converse with.

"Ohwell! Let's go. I'll get the details once we meet her"
I hanged my bag on my shoulder avoiding eye contact hiding the tears threatening to fall.
