Chapter 1⚜️

Mikaelson mansion.

Elijah opened the front door, showing Stefan and Damon Salvatore. He simply said, "Niklaus, our guests have arrived."

Damon and Stefan then walked in and the first thing they noticed was - Klaus in the middle of the room. He smirked as he saw the two walk inside, saying, "Damon, Stefan. Elijah tells me you seek an audience. Very bold. Let's discuss the terms of our agreement like civilized men, shall we?"

Elijah walked toward the table as Stefan said, "i didn't, uh, come here to eat, Klaus. In fact,i didn't want to come here at all. But i was told i had to 'cause you two would hear us out."

"Hmm. Well, we can sit and eat, or I can reach down your throats and pull out your insides. The choice is yours." Klaus said with a grin as he sat down.

Damon gulped and Stefan glared. They all sat down at the table. Stefan sat across from Klaus. There was another place left, next to klaus. One of the female servants poured Damon some wine.

"Thank you love." Damon said to the girl.

Stefan didn't touch anything and Klaus noticed. "You lost your appetite?"

"Eat. i thought we agreed that we would leave the grumpy Stefan at home." Damon stated and Stefan did as he was asked.

"That's the spirit. Isn't it nice? Four of us dining together? Such a treat. Is this what you had in mind when you pulled the dagger from my brother?" Klaus asked Damon.

"Well, I know how he felt about you, so I figured the more, the merrier." Damon playfully winked at Elijah.

"Well, Elijah and I have had our share of quarrels over the centuries. But we always make it through." Klaus stated as he checked the time.

"Kind of like you and Rebekah, right? Where is she by the way? Last I checked she was still daggered because you were afraid to face her." Stefan said.

"If you are referring to the fact that Rebekah knows I killed our mother, I have already come clean to Elijah." Klaus explained.

"What I can't understand though is that empty chair, are we expecting somebody?" Damon asked.

"I thought you would never ask." Klaus smirked.

Before he could say anything more, the front door opened and Then there was the sound of heels. Klaus vamped sped away and greeted the visitor with a passionate kiss.

Suddenly there was the sound of someone's angelic laugh.

While Damon and Stefan were confused, Elijah's smile couldn't grow any longer.

They all stood up as Klaus and the visitor entered the room. And suddenly it was like the Salvatore brothers couldn't breathe anymore.

"Well i hope i am not too late, traffic was horrible."

"Isabelle." they finally found the words.
"Hello Brothers." Isabelle and Klaus smirked.

Here she was, after all these years, standing and breathing, while Damon and Stefan believed that she was dead!
They looked her up and down, if they still couldn't believe that she was standing right in front of them, The very sister who they looked up to, who they adored once upon a time and who they abandoned for Katherine.
When the brothers woke up in a transition, they realised what they had done, they felt so much guilt, that it could last them for several lifetimes. That guilt was the main reason why they didn't want to complete their transitions and become vampires. That guilt was the reason why Stefan shut his emotions off after becoming a vampire and Damone became - what he was for decades.

"I would like to introduce my lovely wife Isabelle. But i think you already know her." klaus smirked.

"Wait, your what?" Yelped Damon and Stefan.

"His wife. Why? Are you two having some problems with hearing?" Isabelle teased.

"After all these years that we thought you were dead, now you are standing before us and telling us that you are married to that hybrid dick, are you serious?" Damon got angry and hurt. Stefan was just silent. He, like Damon, was hurt that his older sister and mother figure made them think she was dead for over a century.
Isabelle only smirked.

"Oh brothers! we have so much to discuss!"
