Trevor brought himself back to the present, trying to think of what the next course of action should be.

"Yeah, Christian, you're right about that," Tori said and stood, gazing around. "Maybe there's a town nearby? We can get help--"

"Again, that would lead to too many questions," Christian interrupted. "We could create a story, but there'd be a lot of slip ups, and we can't risk the exposure of our kind, not even for the situation we're in."

As they talked, an idea suddenly came to Trevor. "Hey, guys?"

Christian turned to him. "Yeah?"

"Remember before all this stuff happened, Agent Anderson mentioned something about a shapeshifter clan in the state, the Moonblood Clan?"

Skylar nodded. "Yeah, I do." Her face brightened. "You think we can go there?"

"It seems like our best option," he said. "They're our kind, and could help us."

"I don't know," Tori said hesitantly. "They could be territorial and not like us coming there."

"At the moment, it's our best option," Christian said, nodding at Trevor. "We can just go see. If they refuse to help us, we can decide from there. Do one step at a time."
"What about going to the High Council?" Tara asked.

"I have no clue where the High Council headquarters are," Christain said, "but we do know that the Moonblood Clan is somewhere in this state, so we have a better chance of finding it."

"Maybe, if we come across any supernaturals here, we can ask," Skylar said, taking a look around the forest. "This forest is big enough for more supernaturals to live here."

"We can do that," Trevor said with a nod.

"Alright," Christian said. "Does anyone have other ideas? Or any objections?"

No one spoke up.

"Alright," Christian said. "Let's fly."

"Do you see anything?" Tara shouted the question in her bird form thirty minutes later as they flew in the sky, searching for any sign of someone else living in the forest.

"No," Trevor answered, his bird eyes scanning below, but all he could see were trees on top of trees. "But let's keep looking."

After a while of searching, they still hadn't found anything.

Trevor heard Christian groan in frustration. "Someone has to be here somewhere!"

"Wait," Tori said suddenly, her voice filled with excitement. "I see a cabin down there!" She paused and pointed down with her beak.

Trevor looked at where she was indicating and sure enough, there was a cabin down below.

"Perfect," Christian said. "Let's go down there."

They flew back down towards the ground and landed in front of the cabin. After checking there was no one around, they shifted into human form.
