AN- Hello! There may be some mistakes but I really wanted to get this chapter out for you.
What are you doing during isolation to keep yourselves occupied? I bought an adult colouring book and love it! Making banana cake has also been a common thing but it's one of my 5 a day right?😄
Remember, if you like what I'm writing make sure to like the chapter or even better drop a comment! That is always appreciated.
Thank you!
Ellie xx"Aiden! Can't stay away can you. I told you to take a rest ready for tonight." A tall man who was the spit image of Mason with vibrant red hair and hazel eyes approached us and slapped Aiden's back in a friendly embrace.
Once closer I could see the signs of age by the crows feet by his eyes as he grinned and the grey streaks in his hair and stubble. Thinking about what he said, I wondered what he had meant by that, what was happening tonight?
"Don't worry, I am. I'm actually here to help my friend Lily with some training." I stepped out from behind Aiden's large form which had hidden me and Mr Wright's eyes grew a little as he looked between us. He raised an auburn eyebrow in question to Aiden but nonetheless gave me that same grin before pulling me into a strong, fatherly hug which I happily returned.
"Nice to meet you darling. Any friend of Aiden is a friend of mine." He pulled away from me and looked to Aiden. "You know where everything is, but if you should need anything just call me." he grinned again and I was thrown by how such a large, muscular guy was so jolly.
"Thanks Pete, will do." Aiden nodded in thanks and I sent him a smile of my own before Pete turned and walked off towards what looked to be an office.
"Come on, I'll show you to the changing rooms." I silently followed Aiden through the large gym to two rooms wth signs on each, one saying 'men' and the other 'women'. "Meet me back out here." With that he disappeared through the door.
Entering the women's changing rooms, I placed my bag on the bench and proceeded to remove my jewellery including my bracelet, smiling as I grazed my thumb over the cool, metal letters. Changing into my black yoga pants, I flinched slightly as the material would tighten on the bruises dotted on my hips. They would hopefully fade soon but for now I had to endure it.
I then put on my sports bra and for a moment thought if I should have brought a top. I've never felt uncomfortable wearing my gym clothes so why was I suddenly self-conscious? It occurred to me then that I was worried what Aiden would think, but why should I care what he thinks? Shaking my head, I take my water bottle from my bag before I put my clothes into it and then place the bag into one of the lockers standing against a wall before heading back out.
"What are you wearing?" Was the first thing Aiden said once he spots me approaching him. I looked down at myself, wondering what he had meant by that.
"Gym clothes? Is there something wrong with them?" I asked, a little harsher than intended. What was his problem?
"They're...tight and revealing, don't you have a loose shirt to put over?" He looked around us with squinted eyes and I wondered if he was embarrassed to be seen by me. Did I look that bad? The thought suddenly had a wave of self-consciousness wash over me as I hugged my stomach, looking down to my feet with an embarrassed blush.
"I'm sorry, I don't. If I look too...big, I can-" I was cut off by a snarl and suddenly Aiden had my back against the wall between the changing rooms. I peeled my eyes open which had closed on instinct to find his tanned face was inches from mine, his minty breath fanning over my face as his eyes bored into my own. A few rich, brown strands of hair falling out of place and I fought the urge to push them back myself. I was caged in by his thick, muscular arms that were placed either side of my head, his elbows buckled slightly causing his biceps to flex, the muscles beneath his skin seeming like steel cables moving under the surface.
