Chapter 6: He's Avoiding Me

After what Wonwoo said that hitted me so hard, he stood up and left me there.

He's right I should just worry about the things that's happening in the present and worry about the future later.

After a lot of sighing and thinking, I decided to get back inside, when I got there Wonwoo and his parents left and I saw Dad and Mom sitting at the sofa on the living room.

I walked to them and bowed.

"I'm sorry for my bad behaviors earlier.", I apologized at them and they just smiled warmly at me.

"No, It's okay. It's not your fault, we're sorry too that we didn't consult you before announcing it with them and we understand that you acted that way.", Mom said and tears we're slowly forming in my eyes but I manage to keep them from falling.

"Come here.", Mom said and gestured me to sit beside her and so I did.

When I was finally seated, Mom hugged me, I forgot how warm was it not until now that I'm feeling it.

After a moment, Mom broke the hug and parted from me.

"Honey, I understand if you don't want this marriage and we won't force you but I think Mr. And Mrs. Jeon's son is really kind and warm hearted.", Mom said and looked me in the eyes, I raised my brow at her. How come mom know him so well in just one night.

"I mean by the way he looks at you, earlier when we we're having dinner I kept glancing at him and he was looking at you and when you said that you want to excuse yourself, his eyes we're following you and later asked us if he can excuse himself too and when he came back he said that you need some time to think about things.", What mom said made me looked down, my mind was blank,and I don't know what to think of him.

When I came back to my senses, I managed to look back up again at Mom.

"But I think he already has some he likes. When I asked him earlier about it, he couldn't answer quickly.", I said that made my Mom nod.

Maybe he really does have someone he likes but he couldn't tell it to me.

After we talked, I headed to my room and just lay at my bed and looked at the ceiling.

I told Mom that I'll think about the marriage thing and tell them about my decision later on.

I was already in my classroom and was waiting for the teacher to arrive and I was also waiting for Wonwoo to tell him that I'll think about our matter with him.

Wonwoo arrived first before the teacher does, I smiled at him all the way to his chair but he didn't look at me, so when he finally seated I talked to him.

"Wonwoo, about th—"

"The teacher is already here.", He cutted me off coldly and when I looked in front that teacher was really already there.

I'll just have to talk to him maybe at break time.

When the bell finally rings, signalling us that it was break time, I waited for the teacher to leave to talk again to Wonwoo, and when the teacher left, I turned around to my side.

"Hey, Won—", I cutted my own words mid air when I saw no sign of Wonwoo on his chair, when I turned my direction to the door I saw him with Soonyoung talking while on their way outside.

When break time was over, I couldn't still talk to him because the teacher was already here when  Soonyoung and him arrived.

When our class was finished, I tried to talk to him again but he got out again first, and so I head to the gate and waited for him cause we always meet here.

I waited and waited but there was no sign of him, suddenly I saw our car and the driver was already here to pick me up.

Four days have already passed and for the past two days of the weekdays I still couldn't talk to him, even at weekend's I was still thinking on how to talk to him but I wasn't able to.

Right now I'm at the gate still waiting for him but he wasn't coming and so my driver then again picked me up.

When I entered my room, I took a quick shower and change to a red oversized t-shirt and black leggings.

I laid on my bed and closed my eyes, suddenly I had this urge to read a novel and so I decided to head out to the library.

When I got inside the library, I headed to novel section on the third shelf, while I was searching for a good book to read, I suddenly saw a pair of sharp eyes through the space and I know that it was him, the guy I've been meaning to talk to to for the past days.

He was about to walk away but I called out his name and luckily he stopped.

"Are you mad?", I asked him and just looked at him while waiting for his answer.

"N—no.", He answered but he was hesitating.

"Then why are you avoiding me?", I asked him straight to the point, cause if he really is mad at me maybe we can talk it out.

"I'm not.", He just answered coldly.

"Yes, you are."

I looked at him and he was frowning and I was feeling guilty.

"I tried to talk to you at school you kept going out first and I waited for you at the gate and suddenly you weren't showing up.", I tried to maintain a slow voice so he wouldn't get hurt anymore.

I looked at him and waited for his response but he wasn't instead he just kept looking down.

I tried to think of other things to say to him but there wasn't, then this idea suddenly popped up in my mind and this is the only thing that I could come up with.

"D—do you want to grab an ice cream?", I was hesitant at first cause what if he'll reject it again but my face lit up when I saw him slowly looking up at me.

"S—sure.", He said and a smile quickly flashes on my face.

But I frowned when he suddenly walked away and disappear from my sight, I looked down and then suddenly someone poked my back, when I turned around I saw him standing in front of me with the right corner of his lips lifting, then my smile instantly came back and I was so fluttered.

'I'm glad I get to see him in front of me again...'
