Chapter 11: Unexpected Things

It's been two weeks since Wonwoo and his family left for L.A. and I do miss him. The way I meet him in the library and eating ice cream in a cold night is making me miss him more.

I didn't get to contact him for the past two weeks cause I'm such an idiot for not even asking his number. I sometimes hear my parents talking on the phone with his parents but I don't have the guts to ask them if I could talk to Wonwoo, it's a bit embarrassing on my side as I'm not really close to them due to their business at work.

But yesterday when mom was talking to Wonwoo's mom suddenly mom told me that Auntie wants to talk to me and so I did, she asked me if how was I doing and stuffs, after awhile I collected all my courage and ask her if I could talk to Wonwoo.

Auntie agreed and I heard through the phone that she's walking, I assumed that she was going to Wonwoo's room, while she was walking my heart beated uncontrollably and I was getting nervous, but everything went away when I heard him saying he was sleeping and that he's really tired. Auntie apologized but I said it was okay and so I give mom back her phone when we finished conversing.

Ever since our winter break started all I did was be on my room and go out whenever I'm hungry but I do sometimes go to the library and buy ice cream at the convenience store whenever we're out of stock.

Right now its nine o'clock and I'm planning on taking a stroll around the neighborhood to feel the winter breeze and to free all my thoughts. I wore a big fuzzy coat and head out, when I got out it wasn't that cold and the sun was out.

I started walking wherever my feet's drag me to and I was just enjoying this moment, while I was walking I heard a guy call out my name from my back and I quickly looked back, to my surprise it was Soonyoung, my classmate and Wonwoo's friend.

"I knew it was you.", he said and I almost can't see his eyes when he smiled.

"Hi.", that's all I could say.

"Hi, I was just strolling around and I suddenly saw you.", He said still smiling.

"Oh r—really?", Why is he strolling here?, Does he live here?.

"Yeah, the weather today is great and I thought of taking a stroll around.", He said and closed his eyes and feels the wind.

"Uhmm—uh, Do you live here?", I asked, he opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Yeah, My house and Wonwoo's house are near to each other."

"Really?, How come I didn't see you around or passed by our house?", I asked surprised because Wonwoo's house street location is the same as mine and Soonyoung lives there too.

"I live on that street...", He said and pointed the direction that is opposite to the direction of my house.My brows raised, then that means Wonwoo lied to me about where he lives?

"And I assume you live on the opposite direction.", He continued and I just nodded.

"Wonwoo—", I was about ask him about where Wonwoo truly lives but as I mentioned Wonwoo's name he cutted me off.

"Ah Wonwoo!, Did it go well?", He said his eyes sparkling in excitement.

"Go well what?", I asked confused, if his asking about Wonwoo's farewell, well it didn't go well.

"I mean his confession, you know?", He said and my eyes widened.

"What confession?!", Confession?, How come I didn't know about this?

"You don't know?, He told me he was going to confess his feelings for you before they go, Oh and I thought he wasn't going to L.A.", He said all that with a questioning look and my lips parted. I couldn't mutter any words. What feelings?, He wasn't supposed to go?, that's the questions that has been circling inside my mind.

"Geez, did I ruin the surprise?, But I thought he already said it that friday night.", He said and smiled at me and looked at me with those innocent eyes of his.

"W—what was he s—supposed to say?", I asked him and his brows raised.

"Is it okay if I say it?, What if he'll kill me for this?", He said and I was about to snort when he said that he'll kill him just for this but I couldn't due to what's happening right now.

"I—it's okay, maybe I just have forgotten what he said.", I said, maybe I did forgot something he said that day and what's Soonyoung telling me right now isn't about a romantic feeling but just a normal feeling about something.

"Uh Wonwoo, He actually likes you.", And that's when my world started revolving again, I don't know why but every part of me was delighted of what I heard.

"He said he was going to confess to you that night and he even decided to just stay here but I don't know why he left. I couldn't contact him for the past weeks cause he's not answering his phone. The last time I contacted him was when he told me he was going and when I was about to ask him about his confession he didn't answer and told me to talk with him some other day but he didn't.", My lips we're just parted, all this his telling me seems surreal.

Wonwoo's POV

I keep remembering what happened last week, I mean it's not my intention to ignore her call but I just still don't have the courage to do it, I told mom that I was sleeping and that I'm really tired but I wasn't really, all I did for the past week was just laying around in my room and sleep for almost a day, yes I'm a coward and I hate myself for that.

My supposed to be confession was ruined and turned into a goodbye that I wasn't even planning on doing, It was wrong for me to ignore her, she doesn't even know that I was confessing.
Night came and I didn't have any appetite to eat so as usual I will just lay here in my bed until I fall asleep.

When I was getting sleepy suddenly my phone rings, who the hell is calling me when I was on the verge of sleeping. I grabbed my phone from the table and when I looked at the caller's ID it was Soonyoung, should I answer him?

It has been awhile since we last had a call cause I've been rejecting his calls ever since I got here, I didn't mean to I just don't have any guts to call him after I told him everything that I was planning to do but failed to do so.

In the end I answered it out of confusion of what's he gonna tell me.

"Hey!, Wonwoo!", He said, no he shouted and I parted my phone from my ears a little.

"Why are you shouting?", I asked and he just laughed.

"Why haven't you been answering my calls?", He asked still with his bubbly tone.

"Just...what we're you going to tell me?, I was going to sleep."

"Oh nothing, haha, I was just trying if you answer.", He's still laughing, I sighed, this guy really.

"Okay, I'll end the call then I'm going to sleep.", I said and was about to get my phone away from my ears and end the call but he suddenly talked that made me stop.

"Oh right, I met Gyunghui earlier."

"Really?", I tried to be calm.

"Yeah, and I asked her about the confession.", He said and my eyes widened.

"You what?!", I should've answered his calls so he won't do something like this.

"I thought you said it already? Did you?", He said and his laugh slowly faded.

"No!, I didn't!, I couldn't!"

"Ooops, Sorry, hehe, I already told her.", in the midst of this he was able to laugh.

"Ughhh!, I'm so gonna kill you!", This guy really!, What am I supposed to do?

"Sorry, Hahaha, but her face kinda lightened earlier.", My brows raised but I still couldn't get over by what he did.

"Sorry again for ruining the surprise I didn't know that you haven't told her yet, hahaha, I'm going to hung up now cause I'm gonna eat dinner, Bye!" He said but before he hunged up he laughed, I sighed and ruffled my hair in frustration.

'This is really driving me crazy!'
