Huh...?

I'm... on a bed?

I was fighting E/N wasn't I?

30 minutes earlier

Both of you were fighting like the stability of the universe depended on it. E/N's quirk, Laser Fingers, they can either shoot a ray of light, or a whole ass laser. The annoying thing is, there isn't a single difference when they switch between the 2 options, and that, they could trick you with that.

The even more annoying thing is, they weren't stupid and made a strategy using that against me.

Well, fuck me gently with a chainsaw.

E/N was about to shoot another laser, an opening! I can definitely beat her now, I run around where they were about to aim, and manage to tie a string around their waist—

Light, with the amount of times she pranked me before, I'm surprised I'm not blind yet.

"AHH—" I screeched, my eyes could barely adjust to the light. Thankfully, it stopped, and i could see again, Oh, I managed to tie the string to her waist. E/N laughed, "Ha ha ha hahahaha!! You thought you could get me huh? Gosh your so stupid HA HAha ha... I couldn't hear anything.

Everything was blurry.

Then, it was just pitch black.

Shouto POV

Y/N, the rather annoying pest that always came to bother me, was fighting with whoever that girl even was, E/N? I really don't care about whatever her name was, but honestly she could never keep quiet always telling me about how "powerful" she was.

I drank my water and dried my hair. Then suddenly there was some commotion back there with the people watching. What is it now? I walked over to see what was happening and—

That's not good.

It was Y/N, eyes black, slamming a girl side-to-side, paying no mind to the fact she already won by now, or the shouts of, E/N? Whatever her name's not important right now.

I ran to my bag and grabbed my phone, currently Cementos was trying to separate Y/N from, E/N.. yeah E/N, but Y/N managed to destroy any wall in front, or even around her, fortunately her only target seems to be E/N.

I called Midnight, she always said to call her whenever Y/N acted up, to make her sleep and such, why am I entrusted with the task to call Midnight? Because she's always around me. And according to her when she assigned a bodyguard to look after Y/N, she nearly got raped.

Oh my father? He had no complaints, it was 'training' because would be asked to guard 'dangerous criminals' once I become the No. 1 Hero. I felt my stomach churn when he labelled Y/N a criminal. She seemed rather pacifistic, or well, too extremely annoying and stupid to be a criminal.

My phone started ringing and Midnight answered. "Y/N's acting up, isn't she?" she answered immediately. "Yes, and how'd you know?", "You only ever call me to ask why Y/N is absent on a school day, or when Y/N acts up, and I got a call from Cementos too. I can see you already actually."

I ended the call and looked around, sure enough Midnight was there, she approached me and I pointed at the sparring area, she gave me a quick nod and went there.

Stupid shortie.

||Back to present time||

Shouto POV

I was awoken by a whine from a certain someone that almost killed her sparring opponent.

"HEEEYYY!!! Hey, heey, hey, hey, hey, where am I?? What happened??" Y/N asked, somewhat too energetic for someone who passed out.

I let out a heavy sigh, annoying. It was annoying having to deal with this right after a good nap, but I feel somewhat relieved, that she was awake. "You acted up, nearly killed the girl you were mad at." she huffed, "Ehh.. you could atleast be a bit more worried!"

Then, a girl, with a black, rather poofy, ponytail walked came into the infirmary and went to the other side of the bed. "Ah, Kaya-chan! Your okay, you want a bit berserk with the fight earlier, but that was the last thing in the test, so you technically finished it."

"Yaomomo-chan!! I'm sorry if i scared you or anything!! I just lose control a bit tis' all!" she let a sheepish chuckle and scratched the back of her neck. "I was a bit startled, but if that's the case, then everything's fine!" The girl, Yaomomo was it? giggled.

Said girl then turned to me "Ah, where are my manners, I'm Yaoyorozu Momo, you must be Todoroki Shouto for sure, nice to make your acquaintance." she held out her hand for a handshake, atleast she doesn't flaunt her power, beauty or anything, but either way she'll just become an obstacle to becoming the No. 1 hero.

I took her hand and we had a handshake, "It's.. nice to meet you as well." I replied. "Ehh, Todo-kun still doesn't care if he's greeted by a lovely beautiful girl huh? Boo." Y/N taunted. I rolled my eyes, "Oh, shut up, you yourself have zero shame in almost killing someone." I retorted,

"She bullied me my entire life and stuck her nose in my business she deserved it!" Y/N stuck her tongue out at me. "Well, if your fine now then I'll get going." I stood up and walked out. "Recovery Girl's getting medicine, she'll be back soon" I stated.

"Say you how long have you stayed here with me when I passed out?" I turned around only to be met with a menacing smirk. "...The whole time." I mumbled.

"Ehhh, Why, THANK YOU, I am so honored that THE TODOROKI SHOUTO, looked after while was unconscious!! I am forever grateful!!" She, annoyingly, said. Yaoyorozu snickered.

But somehow, it seemed rather..

Genuine.

"You're... welcome." I said. It was whatever really.

Y/N seemed rather taken aback by my reply, wearing a rather surprised expression, but it slowly turned to a smile.

"So wanna watch F/A/N later?" she said.

"I have training later." I can't really slack off on training, I want to become strong so the old man won't keep bothering me anymore.

Her expression fell, but still held a smile.

For some reason, I felt sort of guilty? I guess. I took a look at her expression, she seemed rather sad, Y/N Kayama is never sad.

"Next week.. maybe?" I pried. Seeing her sad made me feel distressed, or disgruntled? Either way it didn't feel normal.

Her expression, lit up, her eyes became sparkly and bright, she had a huge smile on her face now.

"Yeah! Thanks~!"

It's been another huge while huh? i'll try to post more often, I just don't feel like updating sometimes, but! i'm not giving up on this book! well, i hope you guys are enjoying it so far :D
