Y/N Pov

We all were in the lab. Tony was carefully assembling the gauntlet. For some weird reason, it reminded me of those grabber games, the ones over which you would stand for ages to get one stuffed panda. Anyways, as he assembled the gauntlet in making of which had a lot of contribution from me as well, he began placing the all the six stones into the same. Anyways tony was assembling the gauntlet (which he made with my help) and was placing all six stones into the gauntlet

"Boom!" Rocket yelled.

We all jumped a foot into the air but quickly regained our wits. I smacked rocket on his head with the latter rubbing his head.

No one's Pov

"All right. The glove's ready. Question is, who's gonna snap their freaking fingers?" Rocket asked the assembled avengers. They were all standing around the gauntlet. Captain Universe and Captain America were the ones closest to it. The rest preferred to keep their distance

"I'll do it." Thor declared, walking towards the Gauntlet.
"Excuse me?" Y/N said, a look of confusion on her face.

"No no, it's okay. No need to thank me." Thor insisted.

"No, no, no, whoa. Stop. Stop. Wait a sec. Hey, hey- "Everyone yelled and tried to get Thor to back away from the Gauntlet but in vain.

"Wait, wait, Thor, just wait. We haven't decided who's gonna put that on yet –"Y/N began to speak but Thor hastily cut her off.

"I'm sorry- What, we're just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?"

"We should at least discuss it."

"No, no, sitting here staring at that thing is not gonna bring everybody back. I'm the strongest Avenger, okay? So, this responsibility falls upon me. It's my duty." Thor rambled on, on the verge of a near possible breakdown.

"It's not about that– "

"It's not that– Stop it! Just let me," He started tearing up, "Just let me do it! Just let me do something good. Something right."

"Look– It's not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent, I'm telling you, you're in no condition." Tony consoled the God of Thunder, who was currently the God of Feels.

"What do you– What do you think is coursing through my veins right now?"

"Cheez Whiz?"

"Beer?" Y/N and Rhodey commented at the same time, which let a tiny smile come on both their faces.

"Lightning."
"Yeah." Tony scoffed.

"Lightning won't help you, pal. It's gotta be me." Bruce spoke up.

"You saw what those stones did to Thanos. It almost killed him. None of you could survive. Perhaps n/n could, but I personally don't want to risk anything happening to her otherwise an angry Captain Marvel would kill me, if not the stones."

"How do we know you will?" Y/N asked, apprehension writ clear on her face.

"We don't. But the radiation's mostly gamma. It's like...I was made for this".

Unknown to the other avengers, the Nebula that was previously present wasn't the Nebula they knew. It was her past self, who was currently trying to bring Thanos's ship to the present. She quickly pressed a few buttons and the platform started rotating, bringing the Sanctuary to the present.

"Good to go, yeah?" Tony asked Bruce, who was staring at the Gauntlet.

"Let's do it."

"You remember– everyone, Thanos snapped away five years ago and just bringing them back to now, today . Don't change anything from the last five years."

"Got it."

"And in case you can't hold it, you give it to Cap. Danvers I mean. Okay?" Tony added, his face full of worry.

"Yeah. Got it."

Everybody suited up with the exception of Thor who felt right at home in his shabby clothes. Y/N was the only person apart from Bruce, to be near the Gauntlet as the rest backed off.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y., do me a favor and activate Barn Door Protocol. Will you?" Tony commanded the A.I who happily obliged.

"Yes, boss."

"D.A.N.I.E.L, I want the entire facility to go into lockdown, the gates, lawn, everything." Y/N ordered, while looking out the window which was slowly being covered with a titanium-aluminum sheet.

"Yes, Miss Y/N"

The entire Avengers facility went under lockdown, with the same sheets covering the entire base.

"Everybody comes home." Saying so, Bruce put on the Gauntlet which nanobiotically expanded to fit his hand, and the rush of energy overwhelmed him. He fell to his knees and grunted in pain.

"Take it off! Take it off!" Thor cried, scared for his friend's verdure.

"No, wait. Bruce, are you okay?" Steve questioned Bruce who was on his knees, almost crying in pain.

"Talk to me, Banner." Y/N demanded, terrified at Bruce's reaction.
"I'm okay. I'm okay." Bruce reassured his friends.

Thor gave his friend a double thumbs up.

By this time, Nebula had successfully managed to bring the Sanctuary II to the present time

Bruce screamt, fighting through the intense pain coursing through his body courtesy of the gauntlet, and managed to snap his fingers. He fainted and the gauntlet slid off his arm.

Clint kicked it away.

"Bruce!"
"Don't move him Steve." Y/N said while cradling Bruce's arm, which was now practically burnt.

"Did it work?"

"It was worth a shot. It's over. It's okay." Thor said while inspecting the damage caused to Bruce's arm due to the Stones.

Scott walked over to the outside windows and saw plants and birds, while at the same time Tony received a frantic call from Isabelle.

"Guys, I think it worked!" Scott exclaimed.

"Hey kid... Woah woah slow down! Your mom and dad just popped into your room? Yeah okay, kid calm down!"Tony exclaimed, trying to calm down the hyperactive teen on the other end of the phone.

At the same time, Clint's phone started ringing. He saw it was a call from his wife

"Honey. Honey." Clint croaked, his voice filled with happiness and relief. Steve had a smile on his face and so did Y/N.

Bruce opened his eyes and saw the Sanctuary II up in the sky and a single missile heading towards the base blowing Scott away. Then a continuous array of missiles destroyed the base completely and everyone sank to the underground.
