I sat on the seat in the bus completely ignoring everyone around me. I had tears streaming down my face, I knew that for a fact. I can't believe what happened... it's like a bad dream that you can't wake up from...

The girl beside my looks at my with sympathy, I can only assume because i'm crying and only wearing black. I pull my knees up to my chest, knowing I have an hour till I reach my destination. It's not quite an hour later the girl next to me gets off, and his sister gets on, her hair a mess, her makeup smudged, and her normally sparkly blue eyes dull.

    "Hi, Miles." She mumbled gloomily.

"Hello, Karmi. How are you holding up?" I replied, giving her a concerned look. I know very well Denis and Karm were close.

"Better than Rem, but not as well as a brick wall." She sighed. "I guess it's what you need to expect. You lost your best friend, I lost my brother, Remi lost the only person that was always there for him so it's to be expected he took this pretty bad." She began crying again. "My baby brother- I didn't do anything- i'm a horrible sister, I SHOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING-"

"None of us knew. He was your half brother, I was his best friend, and Remi almost never left his side, but as they say, the happiest person you know can be the saddest..."

                                               --------A week earlier------

"Miles, Miles, Miles, Miles... I love how you live up to your name and go extra, BUT I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" He screamed, tears streaming down his face while he was glaring at me. He held a gun to his head.

"Denis, please. If you need help you just need to ask some-" I started calmly, one wrong thing and he could kill himself.

"MILES, YOU CAN'T HELP ME! Don't you SEE? I was TOO YOUNG when this all started, I WAS THREE WHEN I MADE MY FIRST ATTEMPT! I'M BEYOND BROKEN, MILES, I CAN'T BE FIXED! EVEN IF YOU TRIED, I COULDN'T BE HELPED! IMAGINE EVERY WORD A BULLET, NO MATTER IF IT'S AIMED TO HURT OR NOT, BUT NO MATTER WHERE THEY HIT, THEY DON'T KILL YOU, BUT THEY'RE SO FAST AND RANDOM YOU GET CONFUSED, THAT'S WHAT MY LIFE HAS BEEN LIKE! Miles... you're like a brother to me. Just let me go." And before I could say anything he was gone, my best friend, lying on the floor, and there wasn't anything I could do. I called the police, but it was too late to save him... I just don't understand...
