TW: vomiting

It started off as just a fun little Livestream. Dream and George were working on their house in their survival world. The chat was booming. George was yelling at Dream to just go to bed, but Dream wanted to keep working.

"Just come to bed already, Dream!" George angrily yelled.

"Oh, you want me to come to bed with you?" Dream said, a suggestive tone to his voice. George could practically hear the eyebrow raise in his voice.

"Oh my god, Dream, you know what I meant. You're so annoying." George was blushing behind his computer screen. Why did Dream always have to make jokes like this? He had no idea what it did to George. Just hearing his voice was enough to make George's heart race and his mind get fuzzy. But when Dream made suggestive jokes to him, that drove George crazy. It was already hard enough to be in love with his best friend without that friend teasing him 24/7. "You're lucky I love you." George slipped. He messed up. Big time. It was hard enough when Dream made him say 'I love you' back in the one slot inventory video, but now George had just willingly said that he loved Dream. Out loud. On a Livestream. Needless to say, the chat was going crazy, similar to George's thoughts. He couldn't focus on one thing at once, but the main recurring thought was that everything was over now. He ruined everything.

"Aww, you really love me? Fine, I'll come to bed." Dream ran over to the beds and laid down on the one next to George.

Even though Dream had played it off well, George felt sick. Dream must be hiding his reaction because they were live. Dream was probably weirded out. George quickly threw his headphones off his head and grabbed his trashcan. He gagged and then threw up. Tears came out of his eyes and his nose started to run. He felt slightly after getting sick, but he still felt terrible. He quickly ended the Livestream, left the Minecraft server, and left the discord call before running to the bathroom. He got sick again, in the toilet this time. It was stupid. So stupid. Three short words could ruin George's entire world.

Once George felt like he wouldn't get sick anymore, he flushed the toilet and moved to lean against the wall, sitting on the floor. Tears kept falling from his eyes as he struggled to breathe.

Meanwhile, Dream was worried. George had just suddenly left for seemingly no reason. He never did that. Dream left the server and pulled out his phone. He called George's phone and listened to the buzzing.

George heard his phone vibrating back in his room, but he ignored it. There was no way he could deal with talking to someone at the moment. The ringing persisted, and finally, after what was probably the fifth call, George shakily stood up and slowly walked to his room. The phone wasn't ringing anymore by the time he reached it. He picked the phone up and saw five calls and a barrage of texts from Dream.

Missed call from Dreamy

Dreamy- Hey George

Dreamy- U ok?

Missed call from Dreamy

Dreamy-Please pick up George

Missed call from Dreamy

Missed call from Dreamy

Dreamy- I'm worried

Dreamy- Did someone say something in chat?

Dreamy- Are you okay?

Dreamy- George

Dreamy- I'm gonna keep calling until you pick up

Missed call from Dreamy

George was reading the last text when Dream called him again. He quickly picked up the call and put the phone to his ear. His breathing was still erratic and uneven, tears still falling from his eyes. He heard Dream's voice through the phone.

"George! What happened? Are you okay? Are- are you crying?" His voice grew softer as he realized his best friend was sobbing through the phone.

George continued to sob while trying to talk to Dream. "I- I- I'm so so--rry- I ju-st-" he was cut off by his own sobs and haste breaths.

"Hey, hey, Georgie, calm down. Try to breathe with me." Dream took deep, slow breaths.

George tried his best to follow along. Soon enough, his sobs calmed down and he was able to breathe again. The tears slowed and he stopped tensing up as much.

"There we go. Are you ready to tell me what happened?" Dream asked gently.

George sighed before replying. "I just, I said I loved you and I'm really sorry. I got sick and I kind of had a breakdown and it all went bad. I'm sorry."

"Whoa, you don't need to apologize for anything. There's nothing wrong with saying you love me. That's what friends do. Besides, I love you too."

George made an angry noise at himself. "No! I don't mean it like that! I'm so selfish! I don't want to be just your friend! I love you romantically! I want to be with you! God, I'm so stupid."

"George," Dream said sadly,

"Oh no, I've ruined everything, haven't I. I'm so sorry." Tears started to escape George's eyes again.

"No, you didn't do anything wrong. I love you romantically too. I just wish you wouldn't be so hard on yourself. You're not stupid for loving me and you didn't ruin anything. I love you too, George. I just wish I could be there with you." Dream said lovingly.

"I love you, Dream. I love you."
