Chapter 8

I walk into Starbucks, not knowing what I want. I look up at the menu and know what I want. I walk in line. There really was no line.

"What can I get you today?", The lady ask

"A large Mocha Cookie Crumble please", I Say

"Your name M'am", The lady ask

"H-a-l-e-y", I say

"Alright $5.32", the lady says

I hand her the money. My phone beeps. I look at my screen, I had 3 missed calls from Cassy, A miss call from Jack, and A text message from Cassy.

From Cassy: Where are you?

I don't call or text anyone back, I sorta walked out of the house earlier. I just needed some air.

"Haley", I hear the lady say

I walk up to the pick up. I grab my drink and thank her. I start to walk out when Cassy calls again. I hesitate before answering.

"Haley, Where are you?", Cassy says sounding worried

"I'm fine, just went to Starbucks", I say

"Why didn't you tell us?", Cassy ask

"I just needed some air", I say

"Mhm, well the boys are out looking for you", Cassy says

"Alright", I say

"What's wrong", Cassy ask

"Jack was texting someone so I went to check who it was and the contact name is bae with heart emoji", I say

"SO YOU LIKE JACK", Cassy screams

"I guess", I say a smile growing on my face

"Aww", Cassy says

"Shut up", I say

"Well Jack dosnt have a girlfriend, you sure he wasn't texting you?", Cassy ask

"He could have been", I Say

"Mhm well call Jack cause he is the one out looking for you, got to go bye", Cassy says and hangs up

I look through my contacts for Jack's names. I smile at what I have him under. Jack

"Whe-", Jack starts to say

"I'm at Starbucks, I'm fine", I say

"I'm right by a Starbucks", Jack says

"The one of Birch ave", I ask

"Yeah wait for me", Jack says

"Alright see ya", I say

"Bye", Jack says then I end the call

I can't help but smile when I see Jack. Jack's smiles when he sees me and waves. I walk towards him. All Jack does is hug me and I hug him back.

"I was worried about you", Jack says

"Sorry I just needed some air", I say

"Well you should of said something", Jack says

"Sorry", I say looking away from him

"I'm just happy your still alive", Jack says

I just laugh.

"Lets go home", I say

All the boys are staying exept for 02l at my house tonight since my mom isn't home. My mom doesn't care if they stay anyway just to keep the house clean. Cassy and I made a plan to get Jack's phone to find out who number is under Bae. I hope it works.

Everyone was sitting down, watching a movie. I don't remember what it's called but it's pretty good. I'm sitting next to Jack he doesn't seem that into the movie since he's been playing on his phone most of the time. I think if I text him I can see if I'm bae but no that's to obvious. I'll just stick to Cassy plan.

"Who's Jack texting, Bae", Mikey teases him

"No and what do you mean Bae", Jack ask

"Your always texting that contact under the name Bae", Luke says

"Oh", Jack says looking towards me

"So who is it", Devin ask

"No one", Jack says

"Sure", Mikey says

"Shut up", Jack says

"Can we just finish this movie in peace", Cassy says

"Yeah", The boys say

After a while everyones asleep except for me and Cassy. Jack put his phone in the kitchen to charge since the other boys took all the charging areas out in the living room.

I get up, Cassy stays to make sure the boys don't wake up. I find Jack's phone, it has a password on it. I remember it cause Jack told me it this morning. I go in his contacts and look for Bae. I find and I look at the number. It was my number.
