The Super Duper Minecraft Breeder

I never thought I would ever be here. Someone like me on the same level as the great Minecrafters of 2012. Of the 15 attending, 10 of them are popular through YouTube, the other 5 more known from their community.

SkyDoesMinecraft, the Super Duper Minecraft Singer. Started on Youtube as a parkour fail. After about 2 years, he finally received a chance to write and sing a Minecraft parody of Coldplay's Paradise. Needless to say, it was a huge hit, earning half his fan girls today.

Deadlox, the Super Duper Minecraft Parkourist. When his channel started, he mostly did comedy skits and Minecraft machinimas. It wasn't until Minecraft became popular on YouTube when he mastered the concept of parkour.

Even AshleyMarieGaming, the Super Duper Minecraft Princess. Yeah. Princess. I guess the correct term would be Server Mod, but she thinks so highly of herself that it has become a running gag to call her the "Princess" of the server she runs. Believe me, it has not affected her self-view in the slightest.

I still have the foggiest idea as to how I was selected. Some may call it luck, but I call it fate. Though my actual talent is trash and rather minor to my future roommates, I was still proud to be here. Maybe if I don't draw attention to myself, they won't ask for my Super Duper title. Hopefully........

Standing on the gravel pathway, my two matching bags in my hands, I looked back up to the massive mansion before me.

Made entirely of wood, the skyscraper-like building towered over everything that surrounded it. Each layer was composed of a differing pattern in the oak and spruce exterior. A dozen windows could be seen on each layer, which could be presumed to be different floors. If that is the case, the mansion had a total of 6 floors. Just thinking about it made my head swirl.

I don't belong here. I'm nothing special compared to those admitted before me. True, they have named me a Super Duper Minecraft title holder (Kind of a mouthful....Probably best to call them by their other title-Ultimates.) and I didn't get invited by a demeaning lottery of Normal People. They think I'm special. They think I'm an Ultimate. They must be wrong.....They have to be wrong.....

I pushed the thoughts out of my head and strode up to the birch wood porch. Encased in wooden fences sat a tiny porch. Various flower pots were arranged in what looked to be a windowsill. Tiny, marble white chairs circled a jungle wood table with a single torch on the center. In the center of the wall, about equal distance from the table and window, was a single iron door. I looked around for some sort of way to open the door. A lever or maybe even a hidden pressure plate. Nothing. All I saw was a tiny stone button above the framed window. Next to it was a sign that read, "Press for Assistance."

I smiled to myself and smacked the button. Deep within the dark mansion, I heard a pair of noteblocks go off. ~Ding Dong~ And then nothing. No hushed whispers. No scuffling of items getting placed down. Not even a pair of footsteps making their way to let me in. I frowned and smacked the button again. ~Ding Dong~ I waited again.

~Ding Dong~
.....
~Ding Dong~
...
~Ding Dong~
~Ding Dong~
~Ding Dong~
~Ding Dong~

By now, I was getting frustrated. You would think they would be more attentive to the door when they expected us to live with them for the next 5 weeks. This time, I knocked on the glass window. "Hello?" I called, slamming my fist against the glass again. "Anyone there?" No response. Is this the right place? I sat my bags down in one of the chairs and rooted through the smaller one. Filled to the brim with sketching paper, I attempted to locate the pink sheet of card stock that wormed its way to the bottom. When I felt the rough texture, I gripped the edge and carefully yanked it out. I immediately read the bold black words centered on the page.

YOU ARE INVITED!

Tiffany Valrietta, it is quite an honor to be writing to the one and only Super Duper Minecraft Breeder. As a surprise for all those attending Pax East 2012 this summer, we have invited you and 15 other Minecrafters to stay for the next 5 weeks and prepare a special project together! We, sadly, cannot reveal at this time what it us, but we hope you will attend and help the cause! To avoid any distractions, we are located in a secluded mansion on the outskirts of town. Oh, SPOOKY! Please be patient with us as this is out first attempt at joint cooperation. Directions have been provided below as well as a list of who will be attending. Thank You!

-Jay West, CEO Pax East

I re-read the directions and mentally sighed. Yeah, this was the place. There is no way I was the first to arrive. They did warn me to be patient. But even I have a limit. In a fit of rage, I smacked the doorbell again. ~Blip!~ Huh? I stood up and peered into the gaps of the door. The dark hallway was now lit up and a figure was seen walking away from the door. I slapped the stone button again. ~Blip!~ For half a second, a short line of red stone lit up before shutting off again. Then, I heard it.

~Sssssssh~ A sticky piston?

I looked around me carefully. No sign of any displaced blocks. The floor below me was also in tact. Then the sound must have come from.... Above?

As I looked up, I saw an assortment of black potion bottles fall out of a small opening in the ceiling. When they made contact with my head, they shattered and surrounded my body in black particles. My vision began to blur. I tried to steady myself by gripping the chair, but it toppled to the ground with me. As my vision shifted to black, a heard a cackle come from the iron door.

"Welcome to my Mansion. Enjoy Your Stay......."

Kinda short. Might be getting a new phone today, so I wanted to publish all my drafts before then. This story is gonna mimic the game more than the anime. That means, it'll have moments of Free Time like the game does. :3
